Bring back divine storm

Make divine storm how it used to be in BC and Wrath. A free move that did damage in a cool way. Then you locked it behind something. Paladin is a lot better than it used to be, and I appreciate that. But what made me start playing the class in the first place was back when I could use divine storm a great move. Make it how it used to be. Paladins are lacking for moves anyways. I dont want it to be some melee arcade game.

DS was added in Wrath, as the 51-point talent. It didn’t exist in BC.

I really, really doubt Ret is ever going to stop being a holy power spec, which means we need some kind of AoE finisher. But if you like spamming DS, Divine Purpose plus Empyrean Power plus Wake/Toll often feels like the old t10 set bonus.

Honestly Holy Power might as well not have existed during Legion and BFA.

The moment they took away WoG from Ret Paladins was the moment they nullified Holy Power for Ret Paladins.

Now that WoG’s back, Holy Power is more meaningful than ever.

No thanks, it’s much better this way.

I miss the old animation. 10x better than the weak sauce hammer spin we have now.

As someone else mentioned, DS wasn’t until wrath. Your finishing move in BC was Crusader Strike which actually DID damage. Not like now as it hits just slightly harder than a pool noodle.

I would say that it would be nice to have it be strengthened a bit. Kinda irritating that it can only hit up to 5 npcs. It should do damage to all.

And with that, it would also be nice if consecrate did more damage. If I use it, I feel like the damage it does is akin to being slapped in the face. I’m sure over time a slap in the face would kill you, but how long would that actually take???

I don’t understand why consecrate hits so much harder for holy than it does for ret. It feels like a level 20 spell as ret.
