Bring Back Challenge Mode Rewards?

Let me clarify: I’m not suggesting Blizzard bring back OLD challenge mode rewards - I’m suggesting that Blizzard implement challenge modes again with rewards similar to what we saw in MoP and WoD.

What do you think they’re doing for the pandamonin event

We have no idea what they’re doing for the Pandamonium event, because we don’t have any Blizzard given information on the Pandamonium event.

Agree. I mean obviously bring back the Challenge Mode Rewards for Timewalking just to make Timewalking more interesting than just the same old retail stuff.

When the blizzard lead dev mentions a teaser like that you should be expecting time walking challenge modes

They’ll most likely release re colors

As a completer of both MoP n WoD CM’s, i’d be cool with people getting to clear em again in retail.

As for the tweet from Holly Longdale, that’s too vague for me to jump to thinking they got TW CM’s coming, but we’ll see of course.

Blizz also teased a tweet at Nintendo years ago with their Hearthstone account, but HS still ain’t on Switch for example.

Maybe a new appearance set for hitting 2.5k rating, instead of a minor shoulder visual effect?

that’s the thing, though. we have zero idea what they are doing for that because blizzard decided it would be “fun” for no one to know what the content would be

That’s what season of discovery is doing and everyone enjoyed that we had to find out stuff ourselves

I would love to get my Shaman the set from MoP, or the Mage Tower stuff if I can be honest.

All I see is a comment that says, “Could it even be better than that?” I don’t know what it’s in reference to and I don’t know how you got, “We’re adding in Challenge Mode content for a short event!” out of that.

season of discovery is pretty dead… between phase 2 raid not being very good, the pvp event not great, terrible class balance and the ban on gdkps, SoD may not even have a phase 3 because player population is so low.

maybe if blizzard had allowed players to test the content first, phase 2 would be more enjoyable.

They said better than MoP CM so I doubt it will be the same thing, especially when Ion stated that stuff like CM rewards aren’t coming back.

“better than MoP Cmodes” probably means another world event like time rifts or big digs.

if blizzard actually had enjoyable content to provide, they would tell us rather than keeping it a secret and pretending that it is “fun” to not allow their playerbase to test the content and provide feedback first.

and another issue with not giving players advance notice of content like this is that players would now have to scramble to make time to complete it or miss out.

so we have one of two things happening here:

  1. the timerunning pandamonium is going to offer rewards that are actually better than the MoP cmodes and no one will know about it until the day it releases, meaning many people will miss out. then we’re just going to have a whole new breed of “bring back the DF Pandamonium rewards” forum threads for the next 15 years.

OR

  1. the timerunning pandamonium is not adding any rewards that are worth players spending money on a sub fee for season four.

That’s the whole point of season of discovery it’s to go at said content blind

well the whole point of an MMO (or a Massively Online Multiplayer) RPG is to have lots of people playing it… that is kind of defeated when no one plays the game, which is the current state of SoD

Challenge modes as an expansion-based activity with expansion specific time sensitive rewards which go away when the expansion’s life end should be brought back as a game design / game philosophy idea. Yes. Old rewards should remain gone, and all new challenges (and their rewards) should have completely unique rewards, that do not look like others from previous expansions.

As in you want the mists challenge back?
Or you want new ones for current content?
Because current content is mythic+
