Honestly it needs to come back. Ever since the “hotfix” it doesn’t even show in BMAH anymore. It was ridiculous to take it away in the first place. All FOMO does is hurt the game in the long run. How many new players are gonna stay when they see half the stuff in game then get told “sorry thats not obtainable anymore cause ‘prestige’”. It also gives people taking a break less reason to return when half the stuff they missed can’t even be gained now.
Also with the AH how it is now the ones who do have the brutosaur have an unfair advantage. Yall claim your listening to us but it seems like that was more lies.
Bring back the bruto blizz.

you’re the one with FOMO, not blizz. i wasn’t playing when it was released, and yea, I’d like to have a shot at it. but it’s not that big of a deal. there are AH’s all over the place. it, or another ah mount will come along someday and i’ll get that one, maybe.

I’m not making a counter argument to bringing them back. Im saying peoples need to have time gated and rare in game items is on them. FOMO is a psychological shortcoming and is not universal. I don’t care that I don’t have the brontosaur mount because i wasn’t playing at that time. Why should i be given it now? it was a carrot to keep people playing then and i didnt bite.

I doubt new or returning players are going, “gee, I kinda wanna play WoW. I hope there’s a dinosaur mount with an AH strapped to its back or else it’s probably not worth playing.”
But sure, bring it back. Kinda silly it was ever a limited-time thing.

Not just the bruto specifically. Imagine being a new player. Why would you want to stay on a game where a large portion of content was removed and made no longer obtainable.
However this particular thread is over the bruto cause majority of players want it back.

A large portion? you mean a very small portion that doesn’t affect anything in the long run. An AH mount is a convenience and a status symbol. you don’t need it and it doesn’t give anyone an advantage.

It literally does. People with one can repost auctions in seconds on top of someone. Either bring it back or remove it from all players and refund them. No other gold sinks have been removed.
Also no plenty of things have been removed from the game. I understand you favor elitism but please let people have fun in a game they pay for.

people without one can do the same thing. if you are playing the AH that way, they you aren’t doing much of anything else. so just port back to a city and do it like the rest of us plebs. you’re really reaching for the whole “advantage” thing.

They need to bring it back for one simple reason: they broke it showing up on the BMAH and the Unclaimed Containers where they said we could get it.
It’s been almost 2 years since it’s been on any NA BMAH. Zero reports of ever pulling one out of the container. Coming up on a year since it’s been on the EU BMAH.
I don’t care if it’s back to being 5 million gold, 10 million gold or next’s years Trading Post reward. They just need to do something.

Agreed. The lack of communication on this from blizzard is disheartening. It seems they fed us more lies when they promised to listen to us. Its hurting the game. The recent sub numbers showed the lowest subs in the game’s history.

Haven’t you heard the old saying, “God answers all prayers, but sometimes the answer is no.”? Just because a small minority really, really want this mount, doesn’t mean Blizz is going to break the agreement they made when they released it. that is was a limited time offer, and that it is meant to be rare.

When they released the mount, we were not told it was limited time only so you can stop spreading that misinformation now.
What actually happened was Wowhead datamined something to do with Longboi was missing (either one of the vendors or the achievement) and someone made a post about it on the forum. Then Blizzard replied to this topic and confirmed the rumor. That was 8 months before SL was released.
Also, they told us the mount was going on the BMAH then they broke it. If they want to keep the “agreement” they made, they should put the mount back on the BMAH and in the Unclaimed Containers.

I misspoke. whether they told people at the time, or later, it doesn’t matter. They want it rare so it is.
It is unfortunate that its not on the black market AH more, i agree with that. IMO that’s what this post should be about. Fixing that issue.
LMAO the dinosaur mount was “a large portion of content”? hahahha. Maybe “large” in size but a mount you purchased from a vendor isn’t content.
Imagine being a new player and not even knowing what the dino mount was to where you could care less since you weren’t here for it?

If you are gonna debate please read everything instead of skim read. I said all FOMO and unobtainable content adds up and that the Bruto is just one of many examples.
Also it is content. Mounts, transmogs, etc is all content. If you say it isnt than that leaves pvp, raid, m plus, and that gets stale after awhile
