Bring back all the old mmo style game content

I was bummed around when cataclysm came out- no fishing pole required to fish, no weapons skills needed to be raised, professions trashed, account wide shortcuts, no need to visit class trainer and all the stuff like that that take away from the classic mmorpg style game play. Blizzard, you should be making the more complicated and built towards the hard core fan base rather than the casual. I know it is supposed to be a hybrid hardcore/ casual game, but if you want to remain true and attract real game players and get rid of all these nonsense kids crying and whining about the game being too hard when they need to realize what it is they really want - a pushover ez mode game, and all the fans that love your games and cherish them will be forced to play ez mode or quit. We are tired of having to settle and want our favorite game to be what it used to be. I know classic is being re-released but we all want the expansion content to be up to par, playing just to level 60 is going to be leaving a lot of stuff left out. Any way i wasn’t an English major in school but hopefully you get my point. I’m sure this has been said before, i know it was said way back when but i have to bring it up again cause i don’t see many threads bringing up this point: adjust/make the game to be targeted towards or without taking away from what the hardcore fan base wants to see. Don’t make this game any more of a pushover and different than what it originally was than you already have. Thank you and good day. -Lullerbeez

Agree OP. They have moved away from the RPG (roll playing game) model and landed square on the Arcade model instead

You aren’t asking for anything complicated.

You are asking for more tedious things. Don’t confuse those two words.

you don’t want difficulty, you want tedious gameplay.

OP, every time they have done as you suggest, it results in dramatic sub loss.

Wildstar tried to cater to hardcores and failed spectacularly.

Other games in development are trying to do this and I predict failure for them.

Unless a company can sustainably develop a game with an audience of ~10k players, there is nothing to be gained from catering to hardcore players.

TL:DR skimmed it …too many “I’s”

Just wait for classic.

Yes u r right, i like tedious gameplay but also want more complicated gameplay aimed towards hardcore gamers. And i want to be able to play all the expansions, not just classic.

What is a paragraph

Just one of the things pruned by the developers to make the game easier.

I just don’t know why they took all that extra stuff out like weapon skill leveling, fishing poles, mining picks, blacksmith hammers, changing professions, returning to trainer for skills. I feel naked w/o that stuff.

You talk about wanting things to be more complex, but you bring up missing the tedious aspects of the game.

You need to distinguish the two if you are going to make an actual useful point.

I’ll take ‘paragraphs’ for 400, Alex.

Was that hard?

Does it matter?

I think it’s the point a person is trying to make that’s more important.

It was nearly unreadable.

So yes it matters.

Not everyone is a native English speaking person on these forums. Not everyone is college age or older. Sometimes… JUST MAYBE SOMETIMES… people are still learning the rules of the English language. Would you walk into a kindergarten classroom and start making fun of the kids for their penmanship or would you be a bit more sympathetic?

Your post is a great example of this.
