I just find it fascinating that you think killing things quickly is devoid of strategy.
Even in Classic people do the exact same strats that you seem to dislike so much about retail. Grouping up enemies and AoE-ing them down as quickly as possible is effective. And Classic doesn’t even have timers.
You might not find it “fun”, which is fine, but it’s undeniably the most efficient way to get a dungeon completed.
