I think Blizzard should explore allowing players to opt into having AI fill roles in RSS if they are in cue for more than 5 minutes. This option can be capped up to 1800 rating.
I think this kind of option is modern and would be great for players with less time to dedicate to sitting around waiting for cues.
I want AI team members you can influence.
IE: Aggression level slider, Flanker vs front line, etc… Basically set up your AI behavior for each team member in presets. It would be its own mini game…
basically add these guys to your Warband, transmog them out and the whole 9…would be sick.
If you are bad at socializing just build your friends…
Yeah, let’s just forget PvP means Player vs Player. Let’s go ahead and stop selling lobster at Red Lobster since it’s overpriced and unlimited shrimp is the best seller anyways. Or, how about we start selling pizzas at Burger King because who likes burgers?
Yeah, until the AI bots become better than the average player (some bots already are) and the game becomes even more unfriendly to new players because every lobby is just AI.
I have thought of the consequences to a degree… I generally don’t spend a lot of time planning the future applications of AI and the consequences on gaming…But a little. That said I did not suggest bot only lobbies but instead at most two players facing off with bot teams they created as their allies. best case two friends that like DPS build a healer bot to roll with…
Maybe a healer decides they want to build a couple DPS bots to run solo shuffle with. Everyone has access its essentially fair.
I’m sure there would need to be oversight but that’s always the case.
