I resubbed a bit over a month ago after having not played since Legion. Rolled a new character on a new server so no guild and I don’t know anyone, just been pugging to see how far I can get.
Did my first +10 last night. Kings’ Rest, it’s my favorite dungeon and the one I think I know the best. I died so many times that my armor was yellow by the time we finished. Despite that we only missed the timer by less than a minute.
Honestly I don’t really care but I don’t like depleting rando keys so I get (player) dungeon experience (Thanks for sacrificing your key so now I know to kite the Spectral Berserkers, GG). I feel like a got good handle on the bosses but the trash this expansion is really dangerous and I haven’t found any nice brief guides for it.
The dungeon journal doesn’t say anything about trash. Wowhead guides are good but way too long to remember or keep up with in real time.
Thanks.

For the berserkers they cast the bleed right after the leap, just wait for it to go to someone else (preferably a pet).
Method Dungeon Tools has exactly what you’re after. It gives you a map and the mobs there, right click anything for the hp, count, abilities, whether they can see stealth, etc. You could use it on the fly if need be. It does not have counter play, though.
Also, there’s a website justhealus.com
where you can find different ability damage by key level which can fast track the learning process.
As Sackalack mentioned, Method Dungeon Tools is a really nice resource that you can access in game.
If you’re looking for something a little more direct (X mob does Y ability, which is really dangerous, and this is what you do to counter it), wowhead has really nice write up for every dungeon. You can find them here ~https://www.wowhead.com/mythic-keystones-and-dungeons-guide . I wouldn’t necessarily call them brief though. >_>
If you look me up on youtube I have a dedicated playlist for players returning and looking to learn everything they might need to learn about five mans.
They are lengthy but comprehensive and cover trash as much as anything.
Past that, as others have said, you can download Method dungeon tools and learn more about trash that way.
If you have any questions, lemme know!

Rakaarwa; I was in a similar position a few months ago. I main a tank and there are no good guides on the dungeon as a whole, really only on the bosses, arguably the easiest part. I came across Metro’s youtube channel (just search for ‘metrohaha’).
You want the playlist titled: New Player Guide - BFA Mythic+ Dungeons. This is not a good title. Better would be: Intermediate to Advanced Guide to Mythic+ BFA Dungeons. What I did was watch the video and go through the dungeon solo on normal. I’m now just two dungeons away from having timed all of them at +15.
Be warned: what you’re specifically asking for does not exist. There isn’t a brief guide to dungeon trash. There are too many unique mobs and packs. But if you want to know what’s actually going on with every pack, and how to approach it, then these videos are invaluable.
Metro, I was curious about this playlist so I looked up your channel and watched a bit of the Atal’Dazar guide. This video (and I’m sure the others) are so helpful for anyone who doesn’t know the dungeon well or hasn’t run it before! It’s easy to follow what you’re discussing, and I think it’s important that you’re not just describing what to do in a dungeon but you’re also explaining why to do certain things.
Glad it helps! Honestly, I was making it because my friend needed this sort of ground-up explanation for these things, and it turned out to be useful for a lot of people!
Thanks for your feedback.
I’ve been reading everything I can find and installed MDT and a few WAs to help out, but nothing beats experience so I’m currently working on completing every dungeon +9 on time. Got 5 dungeons left, trying to push it out before next week (which is raging/necrotic and I think will be more challenging).
Then after that’s done I’ll watch videos to learn where to place the portals. My experience in Kings’ Rest has been that this isn’t really something you can learn on the fly. I finally got my portal placement figured out but it took 3 runs to do it and a lot of puggers complaining at my scrubbiness, which I suppose is justified.
Trash % I’m still working on. Planning a route out seems like a waste of time when there’s already a route that everyone else already expects. Nine times out of ten I can spot a skip just by watching someone else run ahead and do it unprompted, and in places like Motherload and Freehold someone (or someones) always facepulls extra stuff anyway.
It’s a work in progress but I appreciate your comments.
