I’m not saying the guy’s secretly on the payroll of WOTLK private servers. I don’t think he is. But if he WERE on their payroll and had been ordered to do whatever he could to kill the enormous hype for WOTLK classic then he really couldn’t have done a much better job than he’s done so far.

Yeah i don’t get why they are artificially restricting the player experience for the sake of nostalgia (a social fabric utopia) that doesn’t exist by the way, not even close to what it was in 2005-2007.
All they are doing with there current stances is exacerbating current problem areas in TBC Classic, i.e Faction imbalance, Server population, Boosting, and Tanks and Healers holding groups hostage for payment, Dungeon Class meta groups (aoe farming)
All of those issues have been quite serious over the course of TBC Classic most not even bothering to try and grind there alts up and choosing to get Boosted and then enter GDKPS, as much as they might not to want to, that is less toxic than being held hostage by tanks and not getting invited to groups because you dont have seed of corruption for their aoe farming group.
They are all eased with Dungeon Finder and even faction changes, why are they so afraid to upset or cause discomfort for boosters? and toxic tanks and healers holding people hostage? are they truly this naive ?

Why do people keep saying they can’t do anything but sit in a city without LFD? People know LFG is a global channel right?That and herbing and crafting is essentially auto pilot so it wouldn’t stop those activities either.
I can see the merits of LFD but this is not one of them.
Brian is just “too much Classic” for you guys but he sound like a good guy and clearly look like a great and passionate guy.
It mean that he is probably fighting for not adding more paid service into the game while working for Blizzard. This is a great challenge too.
Except , he add more the lvl 70 boost go even high level than lvl 58 boost. So think he actualy add the more paid service ?
I guess he can’t fight against every MtX. He is working for Blizzard.
Even if i’m against any form of boosting a 1 time/boost per account is acceptable.
If you want your dwarf priest to become a human priest to be competitive in arena, you now have to pay for a 60 dollar instant 70 instead of a 20 dollar race change. How is that reducing paid services?

It does feel like they’re stuck in the Vanilla Classic mindset still when it comes to Changes, I played years of Private Server myself and I remember being an annoying person asking for #NoChanges and while it did make sense back then for no RDF or shop stuff such as Race Change, I don’t see why they would keep with this “we must protect the integrity of Classic” trend when these features were added in WotLK for a reason and not to mention all the other changes they’ve made so far, No Arena teams for example causes a way bigger social impact on the PvP community than Race Change will ever do.
I hope these changes can be reverted and I do believe Brian has been listening to us and actually trying to communicate with players thru his Twitter.
Thank god there is no faction change. Imagine all the grug meta slaves race changing to human. Best decision they ever made - no wonder the forums have people begging them to nerf EMFH.
I think they should leave faction change out and I do understand why they don’t want to add it but race changing within ur faction doesn’t sound like a problem to me, it’s not even Humans, but even horde players who made characters when Blood Elves didn’t exist would like to race change aswell.
Limited inter-faction race changes are fine by me especially given wrath will force almost all Alliance pvpers to swap to human. But opening up the gates to potentially lead to faction transfers would kill it completely for me.
Yes, they should cap the Race Change to 1 time per character imo. I can see how Faction Change could be harmful and I would live without it but if I had to choose between losing all my Alliance character progress due to re-rolling a new race, I wouldn’t mind it as much.
LFG is a global channel that most people have turned off because it’s full of boosting spam and other nonsense. Nobody even uses it for looking for actual groups, it’s just like how trade chat is typically spammed with political propaganda and the like.
