Heās one of the only people at Blizzard actually communicating with players. I do not think the Classic team has made very many good decisions on anything theyāve worked on, but Brian and his Twitter account may be the only chance we have at getting through to the Classic team.

This is the only game I really play, and likely the only thing Iāll be playing over the next few years. Iām going to put in a least a modicum of effort in the hopes that I can stop the Classic team from making more poor decisions.

If one of them is smart they will offer a service to copy your toon off the classic armory so you can hop right in
The Balance between casuals and hardcore comes down to time.
What made wrath such a successful xpac I like to think it was the balance of a players time. A player could log in and Que up a dungeon or a few with there mates from school before they had to go to bed and repeat the day. That was meaningful progression for the time spent for a casual. This made more players get into the end game āRaidingā allowing fathers, mothers and, kids in school to make meaningful progress allowing you to kill the Lich king maybe not all on Heroic mind you but, killing him none the less. Spaming Chat and siting in a city looking for people for a grp cutās into time in more than one way. You could be out farming herbs while in the que or crafting etc. My point is LFD helped People with all amounts of play time but removing it disproportionately hurts the casuals than the hardcore.

He 100% should be replaced immediately, with a public apology from Blizzard for the bad decision making.

No way I am playing Retail till the next expansion. Have to find another mmorpg. Way to push players away from the game.

Play FFXIV. The UI and crafting changes coming in Dragonflight are very reminiscent of it.
The 100% proof that classic forums arenāt on Blizzās radar is that this thread still exists. It would have been nuked from orbit in retail general
If Blizzard hasnāt removed Ion for his decision making for the last 2-3 expansions, why would they remove this guy?

I have no idea who Ion is. Iām assuming heās a retail guy, which has no relevance to me. But, canāem all. Get Microsoft devs in here.
He is the Director of World of Warcraft, who answers to the boss of blizzard, who reports to bobby
There are a lot of talented people still there - theyāre just in lower positions, as their most experienced left.
experienced or not they should have seen this coming LFD is kind of a huge feature

Christ almighty, get this guy out of here. Dual spec was a net positive for the game. Under his āleadershipā WotLK will experience the same lack of tanks and healers, lack of dungeon runs, and general rapid decline that BC did. There were very good and pressing reasons these features were added back then in the first place.
