I’m looking ahead to when I finally try this season’s delve boss, and am trying to figure out what I should be aiming for dps wise.
The mechanics of that fight will obviously bring down my dps significantly, but just in general if I’m hitting a single target boss, patchwerk style, I’m trying to get a feel for what dps means that I’m using a decent enough rotation.
Once I have dps similar to that on a boss target dummy, I can work on incorporating that knowledge into the delve ?? boss fight.
Thanks much in advance!
699, don’t really stand in dorn and hit dummies, but it’s going to vary based on whether you’re actively getting hit or not because of stuff like Brand, raidbots is borked atm but I think I did like 1.3m pure single target with no incoming damage? probably somewhere around there, solo tanking normal Loom I did 2m, so take from that what you will
regardless, this season’s delve boss isn’t really a dps race, it’s just a matter of executing mechanics properly, and to be frank, they’re all pretty much one shots, so you might as well just do it as WW anyway, the boss herself doesn’t really do any damage you can’t heal through with passive leach and free vivs

Thank you so much for the response! From running a couple bosses in T11 as Brewmaster, I’ve been shocked at the dps that Bran has been doing, and have been wondering if Brew + Bran DPS would be more than WW + Bran heals.
But you’ve brought up something I hadn’t considered: WW + Bran DPS. If the survivability really is there with that combo, then it’s clearly the play.
I’m getting old and never was that good at gaming in the first place. I’m somewhat dreading X minutes of avoiding one-shots, which is why I’m particularly interested in making the fight as short as possible.
Thanks a bunch for helping me consider and even better option than I have been so far.
The boss on ?? difficulty will do a lot more damage than ww can reactively heal. Tank spec + dps brann is the way.

ok, thanks, that’s more in line with what I was expecting.
Ideally to cut the fight as short as possible, you want to be pushing at least 20-25% health per 100 energy. On my initial kill, I was doing roughly 20% damage and got 5 total cup phases with the fight going on for 6 and a half minutes or so.
This was a 50% wipe, just after 2 cup phases in. I have like 10 ilvls more gear than when I initially did it so damage is higher, but it should give you an idea of how much damage you want to be outputting for only 3-4 cup phases.
