Brewmaster Mana Window

I’ve had the opinion for some time that brew monks in particular should have windows in which they have mana instead of energy but unsure what would be the most fitting implementation of this.

I’m thinking Zen Meditation should also replace the monks energy with mana. Making zen meditation talents worth exploring more in the future, while also making it less punishing for it breaking. Weapons of Order or just Celestial Brew (shields applied also adds mana) would be interesting too. I’m sure A time window of mana would help brew but it wouldn’t solve all the problems at once. But it would also give flavor to the spec, which I like.

This would make you susceptible to spell lock or silence so I imagine talents could be adjusted to prohibit that though not entirely necessary depending on the style of implementation (e.g celestial brew shield triggers mana usage and dispels all current silence and spell lock effects).

But what do you guys think? Would this be too big of a buff, brew used to have mana, y’know? Does it add flavor but it’s limited usefulness make it not a worthy direction? Is there any circumstances where you wish you had a time window of mana?

My only argument to support for mana over energy would be that we could use haste again as energy specs are locked on global cooldowns so haste is next to useless for BrM in its current state. Otherwise I like Energy.

Fair. All I want is a time window where I can cast soothing mist, hard-cast vivify, CJL without depleting energy. I think replacing energy entirely doesn’t add flavor to the class how I’d prefer. Being able to to tap into mana resources can come in clutch and to some degree is simply a QoL thing. I think brew can even get away with being able to free cast in this mana mode, there’s only 4 spells we can use in this hypothetical time window anyway. Zen Meditation is like a 5 minute cooldown so it’s not too bad. However there may be some consumables or something that may be unintentionally improved, still fine though imo.
