Brewmaster + haste

Depends on how you define dead.

People still thinking there’s more than 1 person working on class design at all.

They would have to realize that the spec exists first…

If you remove the cd from keg smash and make it the top priority button in every situation, that’s exactly the environment you will create.

No that’d come down to tuning.

Vengeance’s Mastery is barely behind Crit in terms of physical mitigation now. It’s significantly higher value than Brewmaster Haste which, while not worthless, is a fairly bad stat overall. The benefits you get from it are so minor that you’re mostly better off just stacking other secondaries and relying on what you get off High Tolerance or Veteran’s Eye, if running SPM.

At this point in the game there are exceedingly few specs who do not desire haste in any significant amount, which is extremely apparent in the itemization, especially noticeable in the tier set stat weights. When the other two specs on a class desire high amounts of haste and one desires very little, it becomes impossible to balance the tier set stat weight in a way that satisfies all 3. There’s nothing wrong with asking for haste to have more interaction with the Brewmaster kit, whether or not it remains the lowest value secondary or not post-changes.

Some ideas:

  1. Exaggerated Movements - Passive
You gain up to 100% of your Haste as Dodge based on your stagger level. Dodging an attack increases the damage of your next Keg Smash by an amount equal to your Haste.

  2. Odd Movements - Passive
You gain up to 100% of your Haste as Speed based on your stagger level. This bonus also increases the damage of Blackout Kick and Rising Sun Kick.

  3. Unpredictability - Passive
You gain Dodge equal to 100% of your Haste and are now able to Dodge spells. Dodging an attack has a chance equal to your Haste to randomly counterattack with one of your offensive abilities without triggering their cooldown.

  4. Rebounding Impacts - Passive
The amount and duration of Stagger increases based on 100% of your Haste. All damage you deal is increased based on your current Stagger.

(Think MoP’s “Vengeance” tank mechanic, to some extent)

  5. Impossibly Balanced - Passive
30% of your Haste contributes to your other secondary stats, and 10% of your other secondary stats contribute to your Haste. This effect does stack off itself.

  6. Sobering Clarity - Passive
The cooldown of Vivacious Vivification is reduced by an amount equal to 100% of your Haste. Triggering Vivacious Vivification increases the damage of your next Rising Sun Kick or Spinning Crane Kick by an amount equal to 300% of your Haste.

  7. Whirling Movements - Passive
Replaces Rushing Jade Wind. Spinning Crane Kick automatically triggers Rushing Jade Wind, and Rushing Jade Wind’s damage and duration are increased by an amount equal to 100% of your Haste. Rushing Jade Wind can now stack multiple times.

  8. Hazy Mirage - Passive
Transcendence: Transfer temporarily transfers all your threat onto the Transcendence spirit, which now mimics you and can receive damage. During this time, all damage received by the spirit contributes directly to your stagger, and it reverts to its regular state once you reach maximum stagger.

The cooldown of Transcendence and Transcendence: Transfer is further reduced by an amount equal to 100% of your Haste.

Mixing and matching those ideas:

  1. Momentous Rotations - Passive
100% of your Haste grants Dodge based on your Stagger level and increases the duration and damage of Rushing Jade Wind. Rushing Jade Wind can stack multiple times and is triggered by Spinning Crane Kick.

  2. Transcendent Movements - Passive
Transcendence can now be cast at a target location, and using Transcendence: Transfer reduces your Stagger by an amount equal to 100% of your Haste.

Your Attack Power is increased by 100% of your Haste.

Man having transcendence actually do a tanking thing would be so cool. I really think they could do more with transcendence in general.

Sending Locke to Blizzard’s recruitment office…

So… make Haste = Dodge chance… Solved this.

Treasure Hunter it is then. You already stole my clothes anyways. They may be a little tight… But the price was right.

I hate talents that tie damage into actively tanking or sitting on high stagger because then your damage falls off a cliff when you’re off tanking or purifying liberally.

Lets simplify it.

Literally just copy the spirit of this talent. Replace rising sun kick with keg smash and tiger palm so haste increases damage and brew reduction. Make zen med baseline for brewmaster and slot it right there.

Yup, someone like this would be a great fix imo.
