Brewmaster and haste

Hello,

So since haste is good for ww and mw I’ve ended up with a lot of haste gear. And when I simmed my brewmaster stat weights haste was VERY bad.

Are there any talents to take or avoid to help with haste scaling?

I figure special delivery would scale better with haste than jade wind.

Not in particular.
Haste isnt very good for Brewmaster because it doesnt affect the GCD since we use energy and our CDs take so much haste to reduce them by a singke second, it isnt worth it.

As far as I know, Special Delivery doesnt get affected by haste, nor does Jade Wind.

While you definitely can run BRM with MW/WW gear, youll notice yourself being quite squishy and doing little damage

I tripled the value of haste by switching out of spells that have no energy cost. This lead to using more tiger palms and spinning crane kicks to take advantage of the energy regen.

I took chi wave, special delivery and scalding brew.

I know I’m just trying to make the best out of the current situation.

true. crit and vers so important for brewmaster that even a 10% extra crit made a world of difference for me even though my ilvl barely changed. I changed just a few items that had haste and mastery.

not sure. depends on content.

I’m spit balling here and presuming m+, but i think that going shado-pan with Ox Stance + Heightened Guard, light brewing, full high tolerance, no charred passions and scalding brew, you could make yourself a defensive build that does mid damage (for brm standards).

The goal here is to get really short CD purifying brews and get stagger as high as possible with high tolerance and Ox Stance, which will help you mitigate some of the squishiness from not having much crit (which gets turned into healing via celestial fortune).

Shado-pan probably works better because it at least does damage and benefits from more keg smashes and energy, while MOH doesn’t help you at all and the Ox Stance build already makes you tanky enough that you don’t need the MOH stuff. Extra haste also works with using vivify on CD.
