Brewfest quest is bugged. The brewfest organizer doesn’t have a turn in question mark about his head. Tried dropping the quest and also reloading, but nothing works. Happening to everyone on my server Area 52.
Happening on Hyjal and Bronzebeard servers as well.
Happened to me too. Not the only bug Ive run into for Brewfest either
Orgrimmar cookie quest to go to the Brewfest Organizer also bugged - he doesn’t have the ? over his head, though it shows up on the map (displaced a bit, too… is it referring to the older version of Brewfest maybe?). Dropping it prompted the ! to show up to open up the dailies.
Note: this is horde only. Alliance toons working fine.
Happening on tich too, guessing the new brewfest layout bugged most things. server update inc
Same. No quest turn in at the marker location. People reporting the same in wowhead comments.
Edit: Also having bug issue with bark dailies
The bark quest is also bugged, the dark iron event is bugged, and the chowdown is also bugged. like 70% of brewfest is bugged.
Edit: also the chowdown trophy toy apparently will lag your computer to hell and back. Like a built in DDoS.
Same on Kil’Jaeden. The barker quest is bugged. The only one that gains you credit is in the Valley of Spirits, —no matter how many friggin times you try it. Quite a few people complaining about it now.
Experiencing the same thing as well.
Sooooo, the new stuff is bugged and I’ve already done all the old stuff. I’m not seeing any incentive to bother with Brewfest this year, and that’s terribly sad.
The keg retrieval daily is also bugged. I did the “return 3 kegs” quest as normal, then when I tried to do the follow up “return as many kegs as you can within X” quest after, it gave me the ram reins and immediately dumped me on the ground with the quest disappearing.
The placement of the Chowdown tent Alliance side (haven’t done Horde yet) is very awkward, since it despawns your Barker ram if you get too close, causing you to have to drop the quest and pick it up again. Also, the green seat is bugged so that two people can sit in it.
Mostly, though, I want to know if the replacement “events” for the Dark Iron invasions are supposed to be as lackluster as they are. A couple hozen running around with kegs on their shoulders is not a replacement for the old Dark Iron invasions. I’m not even sure what we’re supposed to do with these guys, since they don’t seem to cause any sort of damage, and throwing empty beer mugs at them does nothing.
Most of Brewfest is bugged. Have you tried the sausage eating mini game? The whole event needs a redo.
I’m on Bronzebeard and have been having some issues with it as well. This is my first time with Brewfest and am just disappointed that almost everything is bugged. Makes it harder to save up the prize tokens for anything
Tried to do the quest for the sausage eating game, but got no credit for participating in the event. Since I’d already had to wait several minutes to get 4 players, I just dropped the quest rather than trying again.
And Alliance side, the blasted sausage eating tent is still right next to the entrance, despawning mounts and, worse, the rams we ride for the barking daily.
I agree, but what I do is exit between the Bread Vendor and draenei Bartender and its quite easy to do, if you think to do so.
Bugs with the Chowdown have been happening off and on, that’s certainly one I’ve heard of.
There are 3 possible invasions now (though you may have seen this by now) and Hozen is only one of them. Just right click on them to scare them off.
The other 2 are Alementals which you toss beer mugs at and Dark Irons which are now fought in normal combat.
The fact that there IS a workaround doesn’t change the fact that Blizz shouldn’t have created this situation to begin with.
I’ve seen them all at this point, and none of them are as fun as the old all-out assault by the Dark Irons used to be, IMO.
I can agree, but also there was the issue that at the final days of Brewfest, the invasions became impossible to win because of the number of players that needed to be helping. People just weren’t around in those numbers the final week, and if they were many didn’t care enough to help, having gotten the tokens they wanted already. These new invasions are helpful in that they are soloable.
(I know Brewfest is over by now but I thought this was a good point to make.)
EDIT/Addition:
True, but there isn’t really a good other spot that I can think of to put the Chowdown. Maybe on the other side of the road from the Ram Trainers? But that would be worse because of the daily quest for Keg Running where if you dismount you wait til the next day and can’t just abandon and reacquire.
I think they could just set it back farther from the gate and decrease the size of the mount despawn area. I can understand why they don’t want people trolling the event (though, on my server it was dead from day 1 this year, even though last year it was quite popular), but it shouldn’t be interfering with the other dailies.
