Add some stuff to them, Brewfest, Winter’s Veil, Noble Garden, etc. They’re getting really stale, like, years stale.
Doesn’t have to be much, just give us old timers, those of us who have already cleaned out the mounts and toys and achievements a reason to participate.
Like maybe get a covenant halloween costume toy for managing to put a jack-o-lantern on all four covenant leaders or something (and make the NPCs available during the halloween event.).
Just add little things, doesn’t have to be complicated, to keep us engaged with the holiday content.
You seem to assume that Blizzard still cares about the holiday events, and wouldn’t just prefer to delete them all together so they didn’t have to maintain them.
They should let the Magic Broom mount become a permanent mount instead of just temporary. Instant cast during the holiday, but normal cast time throughout the rest of the year.
Brewfest quest line: Bring Your Own Brew or something like that to where you can make your own brew to present at the festival.
While a nice change of pace could be fun, I doubt you’ll get the same feeling we used to get back in the old days with some of these events. I know that back in the OG days, I loved during Hallow’s End when the Horseman sets fire to Brill. It was so simple but I looked forward to it.
I too wish something new would come with each holiday, but I accepted the fact that it would mostly never happen again many years ago.
I did luck out and got both brewfest mounts last year, so aside from taking my one monk who’s a drunk to it, I’ll likely not do anything with it.
Still need that love rocket though…so I’ll keep doing that…likely forever.
Oh and I second any talk of making the broom a permanent mount.
If they don’t bring that back, which realistically they probably won’t, could give us updated versions of the two current brewfest mounts. Imagine the brewfest kodo with the vicious aesthetics and the ram with the new Stormpike details.
That’s not what Brewfest is about. It’s about for a week or so forgetting that you have alcohol problems and glorifying in your addiction rather than facing it for another year.
We’ve been barking up that tree for 13 years. Blizz has some major grudge against flying cleaning tools.
The holidays definitely need a revamp. But I think we even just need a round of new mounts to go for and/or cosmetic sets (that aren’t mog restricted to the holiday). Those are the big rewards and once you get them all, I’ve had like no reason to do any holiday stuff for years. The occasional new pet or toy really isn’t much.
Yeah I got the mount and that pet Wolpfepetlearager or whatever that if you pet it too much it gets mad at you and the suicidal turkey pet.
I’d like some year round new cosmetics. Like drunk bubbles that come off your weapon, or a circlet of fall leaves / berries for your hair, or a very useable pumpkin recipe that makes a buff food we can use year round. Maybe some nice fall coloured mogs. We don’t have nearly enough orange in the game.
I would like to see that. Keep the staples, just add more neat stuff. I always do the ram racing and some of the events at least a few times while it’s active, but you quickly run through it, especially for those who have been around a while and may have all the rewards.
Halloween coming up too. I love the HH stuff, but there’s a lot of potential there still with such a cool holiday.
