Was just in the hourly Brewfest Banquet event outside Ironforge and all of us were waiting around for the timer to expire with about 45 seconds left, when we all got re-sharded to a different shard where the event had already ended. Presumably the shard we were on shut down. No one that got re-sharded received rewards as a result.
Pretty glaring oversight. Shards should not shut down with an active event that has active participants, ever.
Exact same issue here, real frustrating, either risking this or finding a dead shard where no one at all is doing the event but you and two or three others
40 man raid, 7500/7500, got sharded when the boss spawned into a 5800/7500 shard losing the Purple Reward Bag…we know your pain.
The shard we were in wasn’t even under- or over-populated, so I can’t think of any reason it would need to shut down except if shards have time to live (TTL) expirations and it had just expired.
Happened to me twice today. Very frustrating, especially with the number of things that might be in the bags.
