Why wouldn’t they make this NPC a rare? Only 5 people can tag and he has a low drop chance. I’m all fine for a “long” spawn timer if the mount is 100% (Frightened Kodo, Void Talon, the WoD rares for example). But having an NPC with a ~2 hour spawn timer with a low drop chance, and limiting the number of players who can tag it is a little bonkers.

One of the things I miss about WoD (Poundfist) and Shadowlands (Fallen Charger) is when people got together to camp rares. I personally made a lot of friends, some of which have remained friends 6 years later.

Let the community come together and have fun, and meet new friends. This just feels punishing.

The Poundfist camps were fantastic. People would wait hours on end and still have enough patience to summon people over. Breeze should be a scaling rare mob and if they made it with a longer timer, 100% like Poundfist. If they kept the same 1-2 hour timer but made it a scaling rare and made the mount 1-2% like Rustfeather, that would also be okay. Just make it about to be tagged by a lot of people and possibly more health so people are more inclined to start groups. The groups have almost all but died off now that people are aware of his spawn and you have 5+ people sitting at his spawn who instantly start killing it ASAP because they’re scared they won’t get a tag in.

I’m completely fine with either one of those options.

Slap a long spawn timer on it and make it like Poundfist or have the NPC function like any other rare mob from Shadowlands (for example Nerissa). You are correct no one makes groups for Breezebiter anymore and this feels like its punishing the mount collectors.

I personally missed out on him 3 times yesterday even while camping on my own server, with 12+ people camping and spamming AoEs over his spawn. Playing on a high-pop server is incredibly unfair for this “rare”.

I logged in today to 10 people already at his spawn and I missed a tag on him. Feels pretty bad.
