Breath of Bwonsamdi

Is it really just 1 for normal per boss and 1 per WING in LFG. WTF.

I dont know what it does but I wasnt happy getting it but no gear. Seems useless to me.

Should you be able to craft mythic level gear from normal and lfr raiding?

The fact you can only get a Max of ?? Per week… And you need like 250 of them… Yeah. Totally not worth it.

By the time you have enough for 1 piece the new next level of gear will be released.

You can get the 400ilvl (heroic) item for 20 breaths. Seems about right if you are only doing normal and lfr.

I mean…thats how it was in uldir.

1 per LFR wing, 1 per normal boss, 10 per heroic boss. It’s designed so you can craft gear equal to the content you’re running after a few weeks. Or after a very long time if you’re down a tier.

I’d contend that it’s designed to be gear equivalent to what you have earned through conventional means, making the profession useless.

I’d hardly call being able to craft 2 upgrades (that may take weeks to drop through conventional means) week 1 useless.

No different from Sanguincells, it just has a new name. Though if we get a cooking recipe for left over breaths, I’ll be concerned with what’s actually in the item. (We already eat a pot of literal blood with the Sanguincells…)

The recipe for breaths is “use a profession to turn them into sanguicell and cook them”.

Double gatherers are screwed as usual.

Then why is it dropping from normal and lfr ?

The 385 crafted gear needs only tidal core , and that already out-gears lfr.

This shows how far in the ground Blizz has it’s head. Does anyone actually manage this game anymore? It certainly doesn’t seem like it.

It’s chili! Or maybe chunky salsa.

Alchemy can make a 415 trinket with them, so there’s that.

Goes up in heroic to 10 and Mythic 20

mostly used in crafting. I know for Alchemy it takes like 220 of them to make the 415 trinket.

No… but hey lets keep throwing gear at people that aren’t good enough to do the difficulty.

because people doing the lowest content don’t need that many of them…

Honest question, were the alchemy stones ever really good trinkets in the past? I never remembered them being actually decent, or maybe the trinkets around them we’re just that much better, but this tier it’s one of Resto’s BiS (at least the 415 one).

They are really good for a lot of classes. The problems in the past were that their ilvl was always much lower than raiding gear, that is different now though so they are actually very competitive.

It was pretty bad at launch when the highest stone you could make was 300. But I sat on all my sanguicells and got a leg up in 8.1.

The 40% to potions is godly for tanks and heals. Not so much for dps, but Versatility is a really good stat for WW at least.

Gotcha. Kind of cool that it’s useful now, I’ll have to start saving those breaths! And be grateful for the 2k Sanguincells that have been rotting in my bank since I was too lazy to fish and make the feasts. }:X

Okay, that’s what I thought. I’m so used to just making one every expansion and never bothering to upgrade so long as I could continue making flasks and potions, so being able to make a useful trinket for once feels good.

You need 20 breaths to make a bis 400 ilvl piece. Champion of Light is so easy on heroic (and even mythic) that you can get 10 for free from her, so it shouldn’t take longer than 2 weeks to get each 400 piece.

As for the 415, it should take a long time to get a pair of best in slot pieces.
