Break time

Time to take a wow break. Anyone have luck finding a guild wars 2 guild that is friendly and helpful to “former” wow players? Just curious.

To those who remain, I hope 9.1 rocks your world. Peace :peace_symbol:

I didn’t even know Guild Wars 2 was still around. You may have better luck on their forums. You’ll get flagged here.

Taking a break too, just not having fun right now. WoW feels like a second job. I resubbed to FF14 and am having fun running around looking fabulous :heart_eyes_cat: it’s refreshing.

Man, FF14 really needs to upgrade their forums. Seems like a ton of FF14 players prefer the WoW forums over the FF14 forums.

Doesn’t FF have a 2.5 second global cool down or something like that?

I guess OP needs a guild wars 2 forum then?
We’re both WoW players that are taking a break to play something alse.

square saved themselves the money of making a forum and instead used it on player housing. leaving the wow forums to pick up its slack.

Best wishes as well! Looking at LOTR or OldRepublic?

Honestly, I don’t even know if GW2 has forums. I know FF14 has its own forum.

That’s why I focused on only FF14.

Most classes work with two GCDs. They are 2.5 seconds, but it’s not noticeable once you get higher level. Dragoon is really fun, though I’m not sure if they are meta yet.

This is my whole problem with FFXIV. Everyone tells me the game gets really good! … Eventually. But if the journey isn’t fun how the heck am I ever going to get there?

I had to take a forced break when my PC broke down several years ago. It was nice to play other games. I played through FF8 again.

ive been taking a break for a LONG time already. SL made it so hard for me to even decide what class to main

a game i am interested in playing comes out next week though idk how long it is or how much of it i will even play but chances are it wont be super difficult so im likely gonna be playing for maybe like a month or less until DLC comes out for it. gonna see how far i can get in WoW first though but chances are i might just hit 60 by then. don’t play often on my work days if at all and i only really have 1 day off which is thursday. im off on wednesdays but i got so much to do constantly driving around it gets annoying.

I thought it was fun. When I started playing, I went into it as if it was another turn-based FF game, so the slow pace was fine. Weaving combos on dragoon was pretty fun.

i’ve been playing median xl, which is a mod for diablo 2, and i’ve been having a ton of fun so i would recommend playing that

I didn’t even know that game was still alive.

It’s not. The grass is always greener to those who act like other MMORPGs are still active and bouncing. This is coming from someone with the Heavensward pre-order theme playing in the background on his PS4 I might add.

FF14 was heavily inspired by vanilla/bc WoW in the pace in which you leveled, except they also emphasized heavy story elements. If you are mostly used to modern WoW where you can level to max in like a few days, it’s going to seem incredibly slow. Some of us enjoy that journey which is why I had a lot of fun when I first leveled in 14.
