Going to take a break from WoW. Any suggestions of other games to play during my hiatus? Maybe a few single player games on Steam as I only play games on a laptop.

Enjoy your break and hope you return for shadow lands. I myself have been dabbling into Diablo 2 which even though old is still fun to play.
Checkout GW2. Had way more fun with that on my break than i did ESO. Of course what youre looking for maybe different than me.
Factorio. One of the best games ever made.
Minecraft revamped the Nether recently. That is where I have been.
Eso is really the only other mmo I could stand. They just don’t have the big main story characters like wow has that you get attached to.
I’m playing torchlight 3 it’s on prerelease on steam.
It’s similar to the style of diablo. Lighter theme. I’ve played all three of the torchlight sand it’s very fun.
Whenever I’m done with WoW, Heroes of the Storm refreshes me.

Only play this is you want a game where you sit down, then look at the clock and 7 weeks have passed lol. Its a black hole, but a fun one!

LOL, you’re not kidding. I swear it’s a time machine masquerading as a game.
Dammit, now I want to play factorio, but noooooooo I need to pretend I’m at work for a little while longer…
I will always recommend going back and playing Fallout: New Vegas. It is the best game in the series (and likely a point of embarassment for Bethesda since they didn’t make it).
Of course, if you prefer medieval stuff, Skyrim/Oblivion are old standbys

Disco Elysium.
Baldurs Gate 3 goes into open testing next month.
Cyberpunk 2077 is getting lots of attention.
Of course you could always play through the Dark Souls series or The Witcher series if you haven’t yet.
Special mention to “One Finger Death Punch”, love this dumb game!
Fallout 76 released the wastelanders update. Actually has npc’s in there and a ton of new quests. Plus no sub fee if you play on PC.
I had a friend get me hooked on Total War Warhammer II
I’m 80 hours in and have no idea what I’m doing, it’s great.
