If you’ve been wondering where I was at (aside from taking multiple vacations
), I am taking a break from both the game and the forums indefinitely. This is not a quit post, I just want to see where the story, gameplay, and identity goes from this point.
It’s no secret that I loathe this current story, lack of character identity, and the feeling of having a worthless character. Until the story changes to more grit like classic Warcraft, I’m staying away. I’m not gonna waste my time with a game that cannot even provide basic customizations and class/race combos at a reasonable time. Everything is fed at a drops pace, bugs remain for months and years, and the plot is all friendship and diplomacy. Where is the War? This “war” vs the void isn’t a war, but scripted plot armor for a undeserving villain. Everything feels rushed or out of character for the game. Crafting is a nightmare and a complete mess with all these tiered ingredients, tools, and talents, its a garbage system and needs changed as well.
Delves and solo play have made leaps and bounds. Getting gear is rewarding and fun. OBR and the prune have made things pleasant and relaxed, especially for my style of play. Personally I would like them to gone even further with solo play, hopefully allowing us to gain mythic items without the toxicity and baggage that goes with that community of scumbags. Blizzard needs to get these Dracthyr mean girls in line, for real
.
We’ll see what the future holds. So far Midnight is weak and keeps getting weaker. They need to make some serious changes if they want players like myself to stick around. Players who remember WC2 and its incredible lore. The core identity of the game has been shattered to this weird “everyone gets along now and can be redeemed type plot”. This is a multi billion dollar company they need to act like it. We as players need to vote with our wallets and combat this blatant destruction of the franchise. Nothing else to say…
Stay fresh cheese bags…
P.S: I’ll burn everything before I let anyone have my things. Don’t touch my stuff while I’m gone. You know who you are.
