I finished the last couple of quests for the “Breaching the Tomb” achievement today. However, after completing the last quest, it says I still need to do the “Relieved of Their Valuables” quest, even though I already completed this quest yesterday. It would make sense that I did complete this quest because I was able to go on and finish the quests that followed. I’ve tried going back and getting the quest again just to see if I could go back and do it, but I can’t even do that. Help???
I am having the same issue on my alliance rogue. Yesterday it was fine when i did the last few on my warrior, so probably a patch bug.
Which is really annoying because i want my Raven.
Confirmed. This happens both to players who had already completed it and new players, trying to complete it after the patch (those don’t get any progress).
Checking quest completion with /script print(IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(46769)) returns “true”, so the quest is completed. The issue seems to be with the achievement tracker.
Since nothing related to this is mentioned in the patch notes, it looks like a bug caused by some undocumented change, which makes me wonder how many more of those we’ll be finding over the next weeks / months.
I guess Blizzard is a small indy company that can’t afford to beta-test their products before deploying them on live servers…
I thought I had finished also but it seems to be incomplete. Now I know I did it.
Experiencing the same bug on this character.

I just ran the script on my character I’m having this issue with, and it also returned “true”. If this is an issue caused by the patch update, do we know when this will be fixed? I submitted a ticket earlier today and still haven’t heard back from support.
Heisenberg’s uncertainly principle is nothing compared to Blizzard bug fix ETAs. There’s typically a 6-month period of saying “it’s working as intended”, followed by an unlisted fix (because listing the fix would implicitly admit that there had been a bug in the first place).
Customer Support can enable the achievement manually, and sometimes will (but will generally just send you a generic cut & pasted reply and do nothing, apparently in the hope that you’ll submit a new ticket and it becomes someone else’s problem).
Sounds like the sort of treatment I’m getting with this response on my ticket:
I got your ticket saying there was some trouble with credit for the quest Relieved of their Valuables for the achievement Breaching the Tomb. I can definitely understand the frustration this can bring. I know what its like when things don’t seem to work as they should, and I am sorry that this has happened.
This is known issue that is being worked on at the moment. While there is no ETA, I have sent up an additional bug report for you, so you do not need to take additional action at this time. In case you wanted to report this as well, that can be done through the in-game help menu! While the reports sent here may not receive a response like a ticket to a Game Master, they are reviewed by the QA and development teams to track and fix reported problems within the game.
In the mean time, hang tight as this issue is investigated. You can keep an eye out for updates on the forums and patch notes. https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/000201843
So they did not actually fix it for you? Took a bit longer for me to get a reply, but apparently I got a more competent GM:
I’m having the same issue on other characters, so we’ll see how those go…
Geez! I wish the GM who helped me was able to do this. Honestly, this seems so simple and quick to do. I don’t know why GMs just don’t go through this manual process more often to fix it.
Glad to know I’m not the only one with this issue. I really hope it gets fixed soon because I’d like to have the DH mount before I leave on holiday in the next couple days. :\
I think a lot of “GMs” these days (is the term even accurate? in the old days they actually popped up in-game, now they’re just - mostly very bad - web support) don’t have a clue how to actually do anything. Or maybe they get paid by the ticket, regardless of what they do. Either way, they clearly have no ability or interest in solving the issues. They’ll just send you a generic reply and, if you insist, your reply gets sent to a different GM, so it’s not the original one’s problem any more.
Ticket replies should continue to be sent to the same GM until either the issue is fixed or the customer asks for a different GM. That would “encourage” them to actually do their job.
The issue was fixed for me this morning. The GM told me that it was decided that I can have the achievement manually granted if I completed the other progress steps. Which I did so I had the achievement and was able to do my class mount quest.
I got it fixed (manually, by a GM) on my DH as well. So if anyone else submitted a ticket and got a reply saying “wait and pray”, just submit a new ticket; with any luck it’ll get sent to a GM who will actually take the time to manually enable it.
Nothing about this bug in the last hotfix notes, so I’m assuming it’s not actually fixed yet (then again, there’s also nothing in the notes about these quests being touched in the first place, so Blizzard clearly isn’t very organized when it comes to documenting the changes they make).
2021 here this is still a problem
