Breaching the Tomb account wide

So I have this, more than once, and whilst it’s great, what on earth do I do on a new alt that has not done it? This has to be the most confusing questline in the game both before and now after this change.

Yes I went to my order hall, just some quests to recruit new followers and complete missions. The Champions of Legionfall quest the Meiav? Meave? Meevus and Butthead? Whoever that dude is, that quest is just not there to collect and apparently that’s the one I need to do.

Well I think that quest starts on the broken shore where Maiev is, hard to remember though. Try checking there

Did you not read what I wrote? I specifically noted that the quest at Maiev is not there.

did you read through this

Yeah I read it. You said you went to your order hall and the quest wasn’t there. So I assumed you weren’t at the Broken Shore because you literally said you were checking for the quest at your order hall.

Lol don’t come at me like I’m stupid when you can’t figure out how to read a wowhead guide.

And where do you think Meive is? You know where he is, you said it yourself. Maeve is not in your order hall.

Right… where is why I suggested going to the Broken Shore because your post implies you were looking in the wrong place. Not surprised you can’t find the quest you can’t even spell their name correctly

Why do you want to do it?

As Eradinis said, check the link, especially the first comment.

As much as that helps, and thank you for pointing out that one comment, holy hell Blizzard could literally write “Complete your class order hall” in the same line as “Breaching the Tomb is now account wide” and it would have solved a lot of issues I think.

All I was finding was people who did not know what to do next and no real answer, just the “Go speak to Meave and get the quest” which didn’t help since there isn’t a quest there apparently until you complete the order hall stuff.

Honestly why are the Legion quests so all over the place?

Why? Mounts are why!

Yes, I know about that (I completed my Warrior one yesterday for that nice mount, since I never normally play a warrior). I just wondered if you were doing it for some other reason. But I agree, its confusing, I had to search around wowhead myself to figure it out because of the changes since I last did any legion stuff. Turned out I was only two quests short of completing it, so once I knew where to start the stuff up again, it worked out fine.

Aside from skins and mounts there is no reason to go back and do these things anymore is there?

Probably not, but I never assume nowadays, sometimes people just do stuff to do it. But good luck with your mounts.

Isn’t Breaching the Tomb just the achievement for clearing ToS? You still have to do everything else, I think.

Breaching the Tomb is just the 7.2 stuff. Honestly I would much rather the 7.0 stuff to be skipped instead, the last time I done breaching it took me less than 2 days total to do, compare that to having to do everything leading up to 7.2 and yeh, it’s far worse.

It really did take very little time, but people leave things for years and then figure they should do 10 classes at once which gets tedious. If they did 1 or 2 every six months they wouldn’t have a problem doing any of that.

The tedious part is the 7.0 stuff, the rest is quite easy. The hardest part of the 7.0 stuff is finding out what to do next. If you don’t have Wowhead or a guide open whilst doing it and decide to not finish it for whatever reason it’s such a pain in the back to get back on track because half the quests in Dalaran and Broken Shore are not even needed for anything.

Last time I done Breaching I remember ignoring most quests on Broken Shore, it’s major problem with Legion, you had almost zero direction in which way to go and it was fine playing live, just do everything, but coming back later is just annoying.

I agree with you. I started legion late on a second account and omg what a mess trying to figure out what is needed for what and how to even open up areas.

From what I understand, they made it so the Broken Shore questline (ie the stuff like "Loot 3 Wyrmtongue caches, then collect Nethershards, then kill 100 demons in Azsuna) is account-wide, so you can jump straight to the mount quest on alts.

I’m not sure what is and isn’t a requirement for said alts beyond that though, since I’ve never checked.

The requirement before is such a god awful mess of quests and order hall missions compared to the 2 days it takes to do Breaching the Tomb that there was absolutely no reason whatsoever to make Breaching the Tomb account wide.

I am progressing on my warlock for the order hall quests, my warlock never done Legion, only started them late in BFA as one of my final alts to cap one of each. I still have to do 5 x 1 hour missions in the 7.0 content, still need to run dungeons, still need to go around here, there and everywhere, still need to read guides to figure out which Kadghar has the next quest I am after and realise once I am flying over to Broken Shore it might actually be the one in Dalaran or possibly the floating head in my order hall.

So great, I get a new mount I am almost certainly never using and am only saving 2 days of content, which isn’t even really 2 days, most of that is spent waiting for missions to complete and WQ’s to be up.

And the last time I done it I got lucky and had 8 WQ’s up all on Broken shore all on the same day at the same time, that saved me literally an entire day and I got the whole Breaching the Tomb done in one day.

I honestly cannot fathom why they even bothered making the 7.2 part account wide when it saves almost nothing. They should have either made the 7.0 stuff faster, like removing the need to do dungeons and the missions, or just removed the need to do it entirely and made it optional and made Balance of Power account wide, it would have made a lot more people happy.
