BRD would be the perfect raid to redo

I know it would take a lot of work, but everyone loves BRD. It deserves to be a 25 man raid.

No thank you.

BRD is fine as is.

BRD is fun how it is in my opinion. It definitely feels like it could be a raid based on how big it is, but kind of cool that you clear it in a small group. I could see it having a 10man option maybe with stronger mobs or just more of them in general. I’m looking forward to trying it with all the new runes and try new group/class combos. Curious if they’ll expand/change the loot table a bit but thankfully it has a good loot table regardless.

Cata is around the corner and has some underground/ dark places (ex: blackrock caverns) people may get sick of quickly if they’re going to play both cata/SoD lol. We’ll then have MC/BWL coming out too.

I’m more curious if we end up getting some new 5man/10man and/or raids. It’d be nice to see new content in an interesting space, maybe with open air too, so it’s not another building/cave/fort type. (ex: AQ20/ZG)

Go all the way and make it a 40 man! But yeah, 20 man would be awesome too.

the thing is Blizzard said those chose blackfathom deeps because it was the least played dungeon in that level bracket. by that logic theyd prolly leave BRD as is, and go with something like Sunken Temple as a raid. BRD is great dont get me wrong, and thats why people would probably be sad to see it changed… Sunken Temple though isnt as popular, but honestly has a pretty sick design that could work for a 10 man.

My money is on Scarlet Monastery and Sunken Temple becoming raids at 40 and 50.

they honestly have a bunch of crazy good options for the 50 bracket…sunken temple, ulda, mara all could be. but yeah sunken temple with its emerald nightmare theme + crazy trolls and corrupt dragons would be insane, plus the layout is so trippy.

I mean I would give it a 10 man but with scaled up gear. It has 20 or so bosses and the mystery door. Not sure about the work as making the dungeon bosses raid bosses might be the only change needed.

brd - the best dungeon ever made imo.

I do like sunken temple as well, BESIDES all the mobs/paths you have to get through before the entrance as you’re almost guaranteed that at least one person gets lost if they’re not keeping up lol. Also, if you have to invite a new person later on, you’re pretty much screwed having to wait awhile for them to arrive and then help them get inside unless you have a warlock or they’re a class that can stealth/run through.

Basically everyone needs to be prepared at the start and confirmed that everyone has enough time to stick through the whole instance lol.

If they do changes to ST, I also hope they tighten up the level range of the mobs a bit more. Gnomer and Ulda were just as bad with the whole level range of mobs. It’s nice when you can get consistent exp from mobs with a smaller range.

Redo? Never! It’s perfect as is!

But enhance to provide an additional raid? Heck yea!

They already previewed Gnomergan, Scarlet Monastary, and Catacombs of Karazhan. I would assume that Gnomeregan is going to be the level 40 raid, SM to be the level 50 raid, and Catacombs to be the 60 raid.

At this point new raids should be capped to 10 people.
20+ players is just a lot of trouble and work for people organizing, leading and playing.

I think 20man is the sweet spot for most content, but 40mans are iconic in Vanilla. I think it is going to be a hard sell to limit all raids to 10-20man without upsetting people who want another 40man…despite the logistical nightmare of it all. Granted, most of the content could be cleared with 25-30 people easily, just slower.

I certainly hope this won’t be the case.

Edit: The 25-30 people clear comment.

If you put 25 people in BRD, not gonna lie, I’m definitely gonna walk off a bridge on accident scoping transmogs.

Imagine 40 people at the bar lol.

I’m saying that MC/BWL and most of AQ and Naxx can easily be cleared with less than 40 people.

My personal opinion is that 20-25 man is the better option when it comes to logistical situations. Flex raids are very much so one of the few things Blizzard ever mostly got right when it came to later expansions. I like the 40man content, but it’ll largely depend on how well received or how much retention SoD will have to make 40man viable. There are still guilds on Classic Era that raid, but obviously the majority are playing WOTLK, Hardcore, went back to retail, or quit entirely.

I want 40 man. But not gonna lie, if Blizzard is smart they’ll keep raid sizes small.

Theres a door inside BRD that will most likely become part of the revamped BRD raid
