Brd help :(

Hey all,
Ive looked at guides online (wowhead and xufuen) and the pets they require i dont have, and they have no suitable listed replacements.

How do you guys do BRD? It is hard

I cant get past the first freakin guy, fighting a black claw/stampede combo is rough on the receiving end:P

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!!
Thank you!!

Ive done them all but brd.

You don’t need Xu-Fu, but it helps a ton. I did them all with my own pets and strats, but I had a ton of pets already. If you don’t have a wide array of pets, I’d just level up the pets that Xu-Fu suggests and take it that way, because that dungeon is not easy. It’s not supposed to be, after all, right?

I used the Xu-Fu guide, sometimes i would have the right pets but most times i substituted the recommended pets with pets that have similar abilities.

Also Wowhead has some great strategies for each boss in the comments section, with pets that most people have or really should have anyway.

^ This. I would check the comments for both Wowhead and Xu-Fu’s. Oftentimes, you’ll find people in a similar situation as yourself: a limited pet roster.

While 159 can sound like a fair bit, and is probably more effort than the average WoW player has put toward their pet battles, most of the people who make the strats probably have at least 500+ lvl 25, unique rare pets. I’d wager most of the dedicated strategy creators, such as myself, have closer to 1k, or more. Unfortunately, not everything can be beaten with bunnies and moths. We use what we think is going to work best for a stable, RNG-free strategy.

As for BRD, they’ve decreased the difficulty on some of the fights, which opened up the floor for a wider array of strats. However, this dungeon is still rather difficult, and you might have to suck it up and get some more pets to level if you truly wish to complete the dungeon.

I’d pick some of the higher rated strats and try to find alternatives. On Xu-Fu’s, once you sync your battle.net with the site, it’ll let you know what pets you have for the various strategies. Try to find strats that are a decent rating, and have at least one or two pets you already own. That will decrease the number you need to farm or buy. And go in with a plan–make sure you don’t choose strats that have any pet overlap, like picking two strats that use a Zandalari Raptor, and you only have one. That type of planning.

Best of luck!

Youtube can be another resource. Lots of walkthroughs on how to defeat specific trainers on there.

The top team for Horu on Xu-Fu’s is Macabre Marionette, Pet Bombling and Darkmoon Tonk. You don’t have any of them, but they are all available on your realm for less than 20K. That’s not a high bar.

The problem with BRD is that several of the battles require pretty specific teams. And there is some planning to do because you don’t want to get towards the end and realize you’ve already used and killed a pet that you need.

Go to Xu-Fu’s and get out a pen and paper. Map out the best plan you can for what you have. Work on filling in the gaps.

If you don’t have much gold, it’s time to start farming it. It wouldn’t hurt to start farming old raids that drop pets. They might be ones you don’t have or something you can sell to raise money for ones you need.

Thanks for the help everyone! Today i managed to clear the quest so i can start doing challenge mode.

Had to go farm some skitterlings, and also farm stones to make other pets 25/blue!!

One thing that i noticed was 2nd-to-last fight, i forget the name but the human lady, the xu fu recommended strategy didnt work, my skitterling died too quick. i had to do it again but with a different strat, even then it was very very close. I used kneebiter/bling/custodian. Anyone have a more comfortable way?

Edit: along with that, orc lady was hard. She my twilight sister survived as last pet with very little hp lol
What a dungeon

The second to last fight is Tasha Riley. The Xu-Fu strategy works perfect for me, but only if I apply black claw spell on the Fury mob before my Chitterspine Skitterling dies which is about 50% of the time. If it dies before i can apply black claw then my chances of winning are not that great :frowning:
