Brazil itself doesn’t have enough playerbase to fill up a whole server.
South america as a whole does, but they don’t all speak the same language.
So this is why there won’t be a brazilian server, servers would be full in the first days, dropping to extreme low active population. Nuff said, move on.
It’s an entirely separate continent. There should be South American servers and North American servers.
You people all realize that all of the Brazilian players who have been responding to all of this can speak English and communicate with you, right?
The difference between France, Germany and Russia is that most people in those countries don’t speak each other’s languages. A ton of them can speak English, though, and do so when playing with English speaking players.
We Brazilians are the largest Latin community. We speak Portuguese, and every Roman cultural aspect such as the law and the customs that were passed on to the Iberian countries we inherited.
So by being in a separate continent they should be forced to play in an empty server? They already suffer the penalty of having to play with higher latency. It is what it is, thats the cards on the table, for them and for everyone else.
As a brazilian I would love to have a latin america server that s actually IN south america not on Chicago.
It sucks to play in a supposed “brazilian server” and still lag like I m trying to play with people from the other side of the world.
Its racism cause Brasilians can undertand english… so try gain
Why is this post racist? Well most Brazilians here are ok to play on NA servers but who is against it? It’s the damn gringos: P
On behalf of North Americans everywhere, I want to thank each Brazilian player on this forum for the Gracies. Without them, we would not have the wonderful art of Brazilian Jiu-Jistu or Mixed Martial Arts. The Gracies. The Machados. The Ribieros. Etc.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for harboring the culture that fed these people to become what they became - some of the fiercest and yet most gentle Martial Artists in the world!
Do we have any BJJ practitioners here? How long? What belt?
I’ve tried it myself briefly and loved it - but my lack of flexibility discouraged me and I just stopped going and haven’t been back. I have really tight hips, and I could not do a lot of the moves we were learning. Everyone could lift their leg over to a position and I couldn’t get it half way there and had to use my hands to literally force my leg there.
I’ve tried some stuff, but I do not know how to improve my flexibility, or if it’s even possible.
Wrong. The Gulf of Mexico is between them. Not the Atlantic Ocean.
Buy a gorramn map.
EDIT: Actually wait, no… it IS the Atlantic. Huh.
Ok i just saw a post on facebook about this thread and i’ve read every post here. And i’ll try to make a general explanation for the issues that a Brazzilian server would cause
For the first i’m one of the Brazillian players that a lot of people are complaining about. I’ve been playing wow with my father since BC , and on those days we didn’t speaked a single word on english. We played across every expansion barely speaking english until i’ve got enough age to realy learn english (abut 2012-2013 on medium school). And for all this time we didn’t get any problem playing with english players and speaking english with translate google.
Now to the facts
1- The barrer linguage: You guys don’t know, but on Brazil, english is one of the main studies on medium, and high school (Including any kind of admition on a university requires atleast a bit of english). But we don’t have a good explanation about spanish, so we basically have a second linguage that is english (as you guys can see, most of ppl here from brazil was speaking in english properly)
2- Realm PoP: We have a decent population on brazil, a decent gamer comunity, but we don’t have a good wow comunity for 2 reasons. MMO’s arent this popular here, the most played one are the f2p, like PW or ragnarok, those have a big brazillian comunity, but wow in general, is a montly paid game, and we’re not used to this. Also the price is a bit salty, the minimum wage here is exactaly 1004 reai, and the montly membership in wow costs 30 reais, the expansions 160 each. So we don’t have enough ppl to flood a entire server as shuld be.
3- We have ou own servers but we don’t play on it, you guys prob don’t know this too, but a large portion of the brazilian comunity avoid our own servers because realm pop issues and raid progressions with especifics times to raid.
4-Brazillian players are bad: You guys can blame all day, but a fact that it is: Azralon used to be and still one of the best PvE servers in America, we have a good number of guild raiding on mythic, and used to have more ppl on old days, but we lack of ppl to replaces and fill some raid slots when someone miss (Was my major issue when i was leading a core back on MoP) so yeah, we are good on video games, some few bad personal experiences that you guys had back in past with like 1-3 brazilian players don’t creates a fact. Also i’ve got a lot of bad experiences with NA players, more than with brazilian ones, a funny fact, but brazillian tend to be very interatctive and friendly on raids and other stuffs, we talk a lot in our pugs, but weirdly i don’t feel the same on some US pugs, who barely envolves talking. So give us the chance to prove and you all will se that we can be a good adcition to any server.
I’ve heard its been agreed that Thalson will be where they all play, and something about English being enforced in public channels.
This prob would solve a lot of problems, a separate channel so the brazillian guilds can get a place to get their comunity together and a general chat to envolve the rest of us and trade/make pugs
I think it was agreed between 20 big guilds or so? They’ll -probably- have a separate channel where they’re able to speak in their native tongue.
don’t complain to us brazilians, complain to blizzard, we’re just orcs looking for a place to live…
#no changes
Because it will be empty
Here comes the Brazilian who hates Brazilians
Just shut up
It’s hilarious how the Brazilians in this thread are trying to explain why they hate Spanish speakers and would not want to play with them. Then they turn around and call people racist for not wanting to play with them on Thalnos.
LMFAO
I believe part of the original classic experience was meeting people from different countrys and who spoke different languages, keep it classic #nochanges
