Brawl: Deep Six has an issue

I actually enjoy the Deep Six brawl a lot. Changes to maps and a much smaller 6v6 is a fun change from bigger BGs. The issue is the mode force ends games when either both or one side doesn’t have enough players. Which unfortunately happens enough that I have seen to be discouraging. Even if both sides start with 6, if one team has people leaving it will force close the game (it gives warnings) at some point and backfills don’t always happen fast enough to stop it. I had 2 games today (2 of the 3 I did) end this way. One the team I was on was winning and more than half way to the game ending when the game was force ended because the other side had players dropping. The queues are 8 to 16 minutes depending on the time of day, so it’s frustrating when this happens. It’s something the mode has had issues with for a while in my experience not just in TWW.

My suggestions are:

  • Just don’t force end games. If one side is down players because people didn’t join the game just allow the game to try and backfill but don’t end the game.

  • or make it so people have to except queues for the games to start first. Like Blitz and Shuffle do now.

Just not a lot of fun sitting sometimes decent queues for games to end because people didn’t join on one side or both sides.

Probably to late to fix anything now, but maybe the next time Deep Six comes around in the rotation anyway.
