This is where Brann is supposed to put out 4 football looking bombs that you have to run over. It’ awesome when it works like it should which is almost never.
Brann will sometimes only put out 1, 2 or 3 but it’s rarely the full 4
Brann puts them far enough apart its hard for you to run over all 4 before they disappear.
Brann will rarely put out the bombs before the group is 90% dead OR completely dead.
Brann will always kick out the full 4 bombs if there is nothing alive to attack.
Brann will kick out 4 bombs if you eat ( sit and eat his food & nothing to attack )
Brann will kick out 4 bombs if you mine a node. ( nothing to attack)
Brann rarely puts them where you can see them while in combat.
making this an almost useless power to pick.
Why doesn’t he drop them at the start of the fight like he does after you mine a node?

I don’t want to reiterate every single point OP made, but I will second that this ability, while very good when it works properly, needs some work on how it procs.
Now that I’ve maxed it, I’ll share my biggest issues when using it:
-
Tends to only proc immediately after combat is over, and I have to hope some mobs are closeby enough that I can pull with it, before it despawns. Suggestions: Make it more likely to proc soon after entering combat, and also drastically increase how long they stay on the ground, but despawn them if I run too far away (50yds?) to prevent abuse.

Nowhere does the ability say “up to X amount of bombs.” It says “x amount of bombs.” Give me my 4 bombs please, not 1, or 2.

Agreed with both of these posts, came to the forums to report these exact issues. The amount of times he drops them after combat has already been over for several seconds, with no mobs that can be hit by them be it range/line of sight, is infuriating. A similar issue is had with the Pacifist Rig, only being called in at the last few seconds of combat by the time everything’s dead, yet on the longer fights, neither seem proc when needed.
Along with everything else here, I’ve seen Brann himself run over a footbomb, which seemed to despawn it without kicking it at anything.
Edit: It definitely seems that Brann (and I think even the monkey he summons) can run over the bombs and despawn them.
