Brann throws a lot of stuff in fire

Can brann just cast more regular spells and throw out less stuff that we have to run or kite though fire to pick up? Or would that make Delves too easy? Having trouble on some of my alts with harder stuff beause I’m not as good with them and have to run around so much.

Well yeah…if Brann just sat there healbotting you, they’d be pretty trivial.

That is what an actual healer does if I bring them along. /shrug.

mhm. If you want the benefits of a sentient being helping you out, gotta invite one instead of relying on the NPC. :dracthyr_nod:

That’s kind of what I figured. I guess I just cant do certain content on certain alts. I sort of thought the point of having a level 70 Brann would solve that problem, but somehow, it did not. Why did we spend all that time leveling brann up?

A maxed-out Brann will still do more than one you haven’t leveled. He’s just not going to carry the run for you like tank Brann does for healers. The only pure dps alt I play is a hunter, so having my pets tank and looking for where Brann throws the potions is pretty easy. The only annoying part is when he summons the big healing orb on me, but I’m out of range of my pets.

He’s got a lot of irons in the fire and cooks a lot.

Brann throws his potions around where you’re standing. So that’s why they end up sitting in fire. Sometimes, you can time it to make sure that you and potions aren’t in bad. Other times you can’t, since the mobs are focused on you, thus, stuff will drop on you.

If you’re having some issues with certain classes, I get it. Some are easier than others. But curios can make a difference, too. They can make fights shorter. Try using Pocket Factory and Bioprinter. Some use baby dinos instead of Pocket Factory, but those baby dinos are too unreliable to me. Pocket Factory seems to pop up more often.

True, for the most part, but the dude goes rogue sometimes as well. I’ve had underwater delves where he sat there and chucked them off the cliff. I just failed an 11 Spiral Weave because he kept throwing the potions on the webs at the end boss, which I was specifically avoiding. Yeah, Brann, let’s use harder hitting moves. THAT was the problem.

The messed up pathing in underwater Delves is an issue, yeah. I don’t know why they insist on doing this underwater stuff when they’ve never been able to get it right since Cata.

Or wait to throw out heal pots when i need them and not at the beginning before I touch mobs. lol

I just did the abyss one and he kept pulling all mobs, he was tank and I was heals. He just kept running away.

Is this where we say, “git gud?”

I was terrible on my Preservation Evoker when I started doing delves. Now I am much less terrible? I looked on it as a challenge and a training exercise. Keep at it.

Yeah this seems to be a huge problem with Tank Brann.

His abilities are triggered by combat. So yeah, you have to be in combat first.

Thanks, I’ll try that.

Brann throws his potions around where your standing. There’s a WA that tracks his Potions cooldown, you could use that to time where he throws his potions.

It’s funny, because back in the day Lightspring was considered absolutely bloody useless largely because it required the player to interact with it to get any heals from it, and you’d never get players to actually interact with it. These potions would be largely the same.

It’s hard to explain it, but this is just how Blizz is. You have to suffer a penalty for getting “help”. It’s like how the vision helper actually makes them harder. I don’t know if there’s a term for it, but it boils down to if you want help, you will receive it marginally and have to jump through extra hoops/mechanics. Tank and healy Brann are both this way. They claim things like this are for the mole people, but then make it actually harder for said people. It would have been super simple to give Brann selectable abilities to direct heal for less, or toss potions that heal for more, but nahhh. My personal annoyance is how the potions always blend into any mechanics, i’m not even colorblind and it’s annoying AF to spot them.
