My Brann is 64. I’m currently in Sidestreet Sluice (Bountiful) and noticed Brann is not getting XP from kills. He is getting XP when I loot a mislaid curiosity with the ‘chunk of companion experience’ in it. This is my first delve of the week, and I assume the weekly cap of 28 reset. Did I miss a memo about this?

I gots a 77 Brann and i don’t think i seen him get experience from mobs before.

My Brann is 80 and I honestly don’t recall if he got xp from kills or if it was all from curiosities and delve completion. He gets a big chunk of XP when you finish a bountiful.

Brann doesn’t get XP from kills.
Only mislaid if there’s an XP item and bountiful completions.

Pretty sure its just from the items and completing the Delve.
Otherwise we’d have a Brann Farming meta by now to farm specific Delves on repeat without collecting the Bountiful cache at the end.
Brann does get XP from kills at first, but later levels he will not.

Huh… interesting.
This must occur in the lower levels, from 60-80 when S2 started I didn’t noticed any XP from kills. But that’s been weeks ago so I’m likely not remembering things right.
This is what I was suspecting. I know he was getting XP from kills early last week. Towards the end of the week, I noticed he wasn’t getting XP from kills anymore. I assumed I had hit the weekly cap of 28 delves because I actually ran a bunch on alts due to the weekly quests. But I didn’t think I had run that many. So I wondered if he may not get XP from kills after 60.
He gets large chunks of XP from fully upgraded Nemesis boxes. I run 8-10 total bountiful delves a week and my Brann is almost 74 already.

I know when I kill certain mobs, the Nemesis box gets upgraded. But I’m unsure if I’ve fully upgraded the boxes. Is there a way to know for sure?
Look for Hobgoblins, the “Friend of a Friend” goblins, Ally goblins, or any other specific goblin mobs beyond the usual creatures in the delve. I think there’s 3, or maybe 4 packs of them in a T11, so I suspect lower tier delves have fewer packs.
If you kill them all, your Nemesis box will be fully upgraded.

This whole system is rigged
mine gets xp from kills but it is only around 55
he is supposed to get xp from kills yes. about 22 xp. it could be that they stop giving him xp from kills at a certain point and didnt mention it anywhere
if you hover over your delve tasks it will show how many mobs are left on the box, if it says 0/howevermany, then you got it fully upgraded

Like others said i think he only got XP from kills at a LOW LOW lvl but think after he hits X lvl not sure what it is he only gets XP from items you pick up and completing the delve
Yupe. In the delve “status area” that shows your lives left, there is a chest icon that shows how many Nemesis packs are left - e.g. 1/4.

He did get XP all the way to 60 from mob kills in the first season. I would clear all the way to the end of a lower tier bountiful and reset before killing the boss of my last bountiful of the day, just for a little extra.
Yes, I was bored at times.
