I don’t care if it takes an ability slot I want Brann to embrace the motto of “Be seen, not heard”. Between him shouting useless lines and effing sporbits delves become a question of “which ones can I tolerate because Brann will be the quietest” and "which ones will have the least frustrating mechanics.

I have all the dialog muted in game it’s like under options somewhere
i’d like brann to stop doing dumb things. i changed him to heal spec, in hopes that he’d heal himself, annnnnnnd no, no he does not heal himself. 
I did a follower dungeon and they all behaved nicely but brann? he’s a special kind of stupid. is there dumb on the ground? he will stand in it. will he take an extraordinary amount of damage from I-don’t-even-know-what? yes indeedy.

I think all pets or companions should be mutable.
I ended up installing an addon to mute specific repetitive sound files I found annoying, similar to what was suggested above, but one that was recently updated.
Since I can’t post links, just remove the first three hyphen marks…

It was very easy to use and I can still hear the things Brann says that doesn’t annoying me, while muting the ones that do.

The sounds tab on wowhead is never ever correct anymore.
You have to search sounds for VO_110_Brann, then open each one to get the sound ID and there are about a hundred of them, making it a huge dumb PITA.
I have a keybind to turn dialogue on/off its worth it, mine is arrow key
Somebody got mad they died after Brann told them not to stand there
