I was thinking in try to swap of main the next Goblin patch but if i have to farm Brann all over i think will not, that would be just very exausting

Why would they reset his levels?
well, i heard our gear gonna became useless the moment the next raid arrive so, i wouldnt be surpriced if they do that to everything else
Gear being outdated or not is normal in this game, but that doesn’t mean Bran levels are going to reset.
That is the one thing wow also needs to learn from other games, raids not making old gear irrelevant but it’s been 20 years. That isn’t going to change.
My understanding of the interviews on the topic is that the main reason for keeping him as the companion is so that there won’t be the power reset of starting over levelling a new companion in the new season.

Brann’s “level” is a rep, located under the reputation tab with the rest of the reputations and renown. They may add further levels (like they can add further renown) but I don’t think in the history of the game a reputation/renown has ever been reset to 0.

Yes, all your Warband characters use the same Brann and his equipment.
Considering he is “level 60” whereas we are 80, it stands far more to reason to just let him get another 10 levels.
Uff, thank to god, i dont imagine myself leveling all the way up, mine is 50 i think, havent reach max one with yet and cant imagine me leveling him with others

Yeah, it’s shared. I don’t think they’re going to reset him. Their reasoning for not giving us a new companion in season 2 is that they thought it would feel bad for us to have to start over with a new buddy each season. So it would make no sense for us to start over and still with the same one.

yeah, that also would be hard, but i think that could have been solved by sharing all companions exp
i think that was the idea at first but became cut content and Brann ended being the only one we got
wish he said more things at least, you could have give me a generic grunt and would feel totally the same
the guys of the starting leveling area have more personality than Brann

Just drop Brann altogether and let me Delve with my alts backing me up. Why is Brann Bronzebeard of all people starting off at level 1 anyway? He’s perhaps the most accomplished adventurer in the world.
Did he lead the raid on Ulduar at level 1? At level 1 I had to kill moths, so that’s pretty impressive.
Mine is 60 and I honestly don’t think he got any noticeably stronger with any level since like 30 when I largely stopped caring about his level.
I’m not even going to pretend to know the specifics, but running delves on a decent range of geared toons, I find Brann and his DPS is more tied to your own gear or DPS output. I’m not even talking that more geared toons can pull slightly more safely…I’m talking like say the same final boss in a delve. On my 2 tanks that pull similar DPS, Brann does around their DPS but on my fresher geared caster, Brann does significantly less despite having the same setup. I was actually hoping the investment into Brann and his XP meant my newly leveled alts could coast through t8 bountifuls but that isn’t the case.
i would love that option, like having the option of going with your alts, that idea sounds amazing …

It’s also helpful to be able to use the higher rank idols etc on alts leveling and at lower ilvls at 80. They help a lot.
He is probably going to be replaced by a new npc with the next season that will need to be leveled up again and will have different abilities.
They have not said anything about resetting Brann.
Most likely, he won’t, given that the lvl.60 Achievements are not Seasonal achievements.
What they did said about Brann, is that Brann will get a TANK spec alongside his DPS and Healing ones.

Brann’s levels are one of the reasons Ion gave for devs deciding to stick with him as the expansion’s delve companion, rather than change it seasonally. Players would feel bad if a new companion had to be releveled, and it would feel wrong/empty if we just got a new companion at max level instead.
He did say we’d get a different companion for Midnight, and Last Titan, since those are separate expansions and we can level up another companion as we progress.
