Currently trying to solo tier 8 Leviathan Caller in sinkhole as a subtlety rogue, but bran keeps getting all the aggro, then slowly ventures towards the border of the fight zone until the boss finally despawns. Tricks of the trade seems to not affect the boss aggro priority, as the results don’t change with it on or off.
Upon further investigation, tried hugging the wall furthest from the exit, preventing brann from moving too far away/teleport back to the player when he does, however the boss will still despawn after defeating the tentacle that grants it immunity and on respawn with full health all aggro is changed towards the player.

Can confirm this bug. Brann likes to sit on the rocks near the entrance of the arena. As healer, if Brann had aggro when i killed the immunity tentacle, boss would follow him out of arena and despawn. Switching to shadow and making sure i had aggro as i killed the tentacle was a valid workaround, and allowed me to down the boss.
any workarounds for this? i got to the end easily on my t8 solo with my rogue, but nothing i do keeps him from just kiting the boss away and resetting it.
edit: oh, i got it. just never lose aggro to brann. kind of frustrating with a class/spec that relies on stealthing mid-combat.

This also happens in Tak-Rethan Abyss, multiple bosses, on both my Disc priest (Brann is DPS) and my Outlaw Rogue (Brann is Healer). Delves at 6 and 7 for me.
Brann just keeps pulling the boss into despawning, usually at well under 10% health.
I’m having the same problem with my subtlety rogue. Eventually Brann gets aggro and runs all the way out of the area.

Same problem as a Holy Priest, tier 6. What a joke. I spent all that time getting to the end, now I can’t finish. How much play testing did these receive before go-live anyway?

If you’re doing this as a healer and Brann keeps resetting the boss, go to the opposite side of the room and “hug” the wall (stay as close as possible). Brann will get too far from you and reset back to you before he can reset the boss.

Just happened to me in sinkhole 8. Cleared everything and couldnt kill the boss. He just resets every pull even when hugging the opposite wall. I take comfort in knowing this bug was reported a month ago and hasnt been fixed. It’s not like we pay a fee to play this game or anything like that… THEN maybe i would expect this sort of stuff to be addressed. oh wait…

I had this happen TWICE in a row. Boss would kill my Voidwalker and then chase Brann out of the grotto. I finally solved it by starting fight, running into the back of the grotto, then calling my VW back to me. This pulls Brann back with them.
The should have just given you a melee tanky character. Instead of the sort-of hunter Brann seems to be, without a pet. At least give him a pet. But I guess that would have made him TOO good.
I had the same issue on September 22nd. 5 times in a row. I tried all sorts of things, Boss despawned each time. Brann would pull agro off me and kite the boss toward the encounter entrance and out of the room. I was finally able to complete this by spamming taunt, death grip, and chains of ice on my DK. It was still close.
The Underkeep is also a problem. If you pull the big dude near the room entrance, Brann will take aggro and slowly move backward toward the door and if the boss crosses the threshold, he despawns. I get it, they don’t want players to cheese or break the boss, but then… I don’t know, close the door when the boss is pulled? Put up a magic barrier? You have no problem teleporting Brann to the PC if he’s too far, so what’s the problem?
I’m glad to hear that with SE 2 they will be giving Brann a dedicated tank spec so playing a Priest doesn’t feel so painful, but still.
Ive been Pulling Cragpie all the way to the back wall and nuke the hell out of himas fast as I can to prevent Bran from doing this. Seems to be the only thing I can do to prevent it thus far. If im not fast enough he eventually tries to pull him away towards the entrance and poof reset…
