Brann Bronzebeard removed from delves?

Can this be a thing in a future patch. He and his pets are annoying.

  • Can’t interact with the chests, jars, objective npcs because Brann is so close to you, having you play around with the camera angle so Brann will move so that you don’t keep interacting with him instead.

  • CC mobs isn’t a thing in delves with Brann, because thanks to Brann’s Monkey leash which will activate Bad Monkey. Now Brann’s Monkey is throwing a temper tantrum, inflicting physical dmg to nearby mobs.

  • Want to rest up, you can’t because of Brann’s Epic egg keeps you in combat.

  • Oh no look out for the web bolt that hits for a 1.2m dmg, you end up wasting your interrupt because Brann’s Devilsaur did it as well.

  • Brann as healer, but yet he still taunts the mobs and he keeps kiting them away into another grp of mobs. And now you have to deal with an even larger grp because Brann is now Unconscious for 30sec.

So please remove Brann from the Delves.

They will in season 2.

I don’t have any issues with Brann. But then I am a hunter and am used to my pets being underfoot. Or on top my head as I have windserpents for pets. Enabling the interact key makes things super easy, no clicking just walk close and smack a hotkey.

But who would say …

Those web spawn nerubians. Don’t stand in em!

Don’t stand there!

I’m guessing that if enough people whine about it they’ll allow an option to just trade him for a flat healing and dmg buff.

Can’t you just tell him to wait at the door or one of the save point rocks?

Are you attempting to play WoW on your Samsung fridge or something?

no, there is no option for that yet.

Removing him would be ridiculous. Maybe make it optional for those of you who think you can run high tiers without him.

Brann is only your season one companion, you will get a fresh level 1 annoying character to journey through in season 2.

they should have a lone wolf thing where u dont need a companion

He gets replaced by someone new next season…maybe the ai will be better but who knows. Don’t fire him just yet either way I need him to be a meat shield for when I fight Zekvir for my mount

Could have sworn there was an option to tell a companion to hang back. Apologies if I’m wrong.

Pretty sure Brann doesn’t taunt as healer, it’s his damage plus healing that’s more than your damage/threat. He steals aggro from my Wrathguard quite a lot.

There’s an option to summon/spawn him if he disappears, I think that’s what you’re thinking of. I’ve seen it but never clicked it.

I don’t understand why Brann’s interact box is so large. The mouse will always try to interact with him even if he isn’t under your cursor so long as he’s close enough, and it makes clicking objectives and treasures so annoying.

Oh riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Dang my eyes are bad I thought that was a “call your companion here to have him sit there” option

Just give him pet controls or something please. He is the worst part of delves currently by far. I can do everything right and then still die because he breaks my CC or runs all over the place with mobs and slows my damage

I actually wonder about this. In Season 2 will we be getting a new partner? (Hopefully if we do, we can still switch back to Brann if need be since he’s only at around level 20 for me right now) and if so, I think that’s pretty cool. Four seasons, four adventuring pals.

Brann, Reno, Elise, and Finly. :3

I wonder what happens to delves after War Within, since presumably each companion gets removed and replaced with another each season.

The most annoying part is how often this NPC will run into or not away from an enemy aoe mechanics. “DON’T STAND THERE”!!! Proceeds to tank every imaginable AOE enemy ability.

Code your delve NPC companions right as a minimum.

I’ve seen NPCs from pillars of eternity/dragon age origins with better conditional NPC companions behavior controls than this.

I was really confused when I realized this. " These developers created a solo content with an NPC companion with no behavior control to avoid enemy AOEs". :joy:

You had several years with the pvp NPCs brawls, don’t tell me you didn’t use any of that data to improve upon your NPCs behaviors.
