Bran lost his brain along with his hat in 11.1

He is now 100% melee as heal or dps, even though he uses a gun.
He’ll start a fight at range standing next to me (hunter), then just follow my pet in and shoot at melee for the duration…standing in all bad and getting all aoe damage. He is the only one dying. I’ll be 100%, my pet is tanking, while Bran (tanking nothing) goes unconscious every other fight. If it’s a boss, he can go unconscious more than once!

O.H.N.O. seems to be Bran’s best friend!?
OHNO makes a beeline for him and I CC it with a freezing trap a good distance from him. Many times, he will run over into melee range of it and stun himself (no one is fighting it and its fully CC’d). I’ve just started treating the stun as unavoidable, since its a waste of my abilities for Bran to just run over and grab it’s CC’d hand.

I noticed that too! I just wish I could have a babybjörn to put him in and keep him from all this self-harm.

Yeah he’s basically worthless now. If there’s bad on the ground, no matter where it is, Brann will find it and stand in it. If there’s a way to pull extra mobs, he will go out of his way to do it. If you have something CC’ed, Brann will 100% break it. Then die. I enjoyed delves in S1 but his idiocy is making them extremely un-fun in S2.

Brann isn’t supposed to be Brann this season.

We were supposed to get a goblin companion, hence all the goofy goblin powerups. They apparently threw a Brann skin on this unnamed goblin last minute for reasons that aren’t fully known.

this was changed and the reason given months ago .

but yeah Brann now doesnt get out of teh way of anything , Mob charging straight at him , no wories he just takes it in the face ( and dies ) . Bad stuff on teh ground , now worries , he will just stand in it . I think I prefer the Brann that jumped around like an idiot from season one

He also doesn’t fish or herb or mine anymore. Lame.

Strange. Mine still does. It’s a little hit and miss though, sometimes he gets distracted and forgets.

Yeah somethings up with Brans AI at the very least this AI should be running out of the way from AOE.

There’s a few old RPGs out there with simple ais that had coded just to get out AOE not sure why doesn’t happen in this game.

They need to take notes from the Hyjal raid way back in BC. Jaina originally took damage from the first boss’s Death and Decay. Since this killed her very quickly and players had little influence over it, it was absolute nonsense and was fixed so she didn’t take damage from it anymore.

Methinky ol’ Brann’s in need of the same treatment.

Had to set him as healer when I ran my prot palladin through fungal folly, cause at spinshroom he would just stand knee deep in the toxic green crap as DPS.

He only died once as healer.

I’m curious what level he is for people having these issues. He’s ~58 for me, I run him as a tank with me as Disc, and he hardly takes any damage. Even standing in the crap that the last boss in Waterworks drops.

Mine is 63

Honestly truth. Even pre-season it was about the same.

His only working AI combo is dps with a player tank, atm.

Other combinations have various results, from “does nothing at all but stand there” to “runs to his death”.

Do you possibly have the Blizz post about the reasons for changing things?

I thought based off of the names of some of the achieves we would have different companions but I’m curious as to why they changed it.

Regardless of it possibly being a “Bran-skinned” goblin, it is obviously untested and fundamentally broken.

ive had him bug out a few times as tank where he just runs around firing what is an invisible gun and not pick up aggro
