What would you change to enhance the fun for Beast Mastery hunters?
I’d like to see:
- Support the ability to change pets in the field
- More pet slots
- Make pets scale in some way through the later phases
- Make the various xp buffs help pets too
- Add some more interesting pets with utility value
- Have existing pet types have more variation. High-DPS but very squishy. Very low DPS but much tanky.
Also, please feel free to list the reasons why you hate pets and hunters in this thread. I’m sure that’s going to happen so have fun with it.
Pet variety. Tank pet - low damage / high threat. Ranged pet - high damage / low health. Something to use on raids.
Unless the definition of “fun” is do more damage, it really cannot be done. No matter what buffs are made to Hunters or pets, Hunter pets will always be limited to the existing coding – and that’s just not very “fun”.
One particular buff that could be made – should have been made decades ago – is combining Bestial Swiftness with Pathfinding as the 10-point talent. Or increasing basic movement to by 8% (so you never need the minor speed enchant on boots).
Love the ideas and feedback.
Would be cool to see some pets that have the ability to buff other damage without themselves just doing crazy damage. That way it will be strong in pve but not pvp.
Something like rogues Hemorrhage.
Thats a great idea, A pet that offers a group or raid buff. I know that wolves have Furious Howl.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could swap pets mid-raid, and choose the best pet for a given encounter?
I’d love to have a pet that was particularly skilled at crowd control. I think with trap launcher, and freezing traps, Hunters have an enhanced CC row. Maybe we could have a new pet that adds to that capability.
