I echo much of what you said. I rarely run into a MU that feels genuinely unwinnable at the top. It just requires an absurd consistency in niche interactions. It’s so fun though.

2300 is being generous.
I got to 2700mmr after and yeah, it’s still a coin toss as to whether your team has a brain or not.
Sad.
The bracket shouldn’t award titles, sets, or enchants, considering how bloated it is.

That wasn’t a shot at you ( sorry if you took it that way ), I’ve seen some really dumb stuff at like 3k MMR ( which I shouldn’t be at anyways ) that made me really question the MMR system.
Didn’t take it as one lol, just had an updated perspective.
Blitz is really bad for rated PvP and should go.

The only thing RSS/BGB did was expose people’s true colors. It went from ‘welfare drakes,’ to ‘free 2400.’ The community is just full of haters, they’re always going to be miffed regardless, so at least the casuals are happy.

Yeah it nuked arena and gave ego to the worst humans imaginable that were filtered out by basic human interaction.
They’re not, they just stopped doing arena and a bunch of people stopped doing the other brackets hence the hour+ queues at starter MMR depending on spec.
As opposed to when people were getting sinful/unchained drakes and the forums were ablaze with mad people acting like monkeys who identified an outsider? Lol
Also ‘worst’ people imaginable? It’s literally just people pressing a button and playing a game. I don’t think Joseph Stalin went into cryo waiting for BGB to release man.

Idk dude, there’s some absolutely vile creatures that play this game that tie their ego to their CR and crash out on you, any role, for any perceived slight that now have access to a wider player base because blizzard forces you together as opposed to getting filtered in LFG since they’re unhinged losers.
Obviously I don’t mean genocidal dictators, but hey if you wanna pretend everything is hunky dory that’s on you.
Those 5ish (or however many) people were a large chunk of the overall chatter taking place, and they tend to steer public opinion. I just recall that no one who got their first drakes in those seasons were socially allowed to feel good about it.
I’m well aware, I just don’t think that describes the typical gamer. If Jim and I can ever get our schedules aligned well enough to queue 50-100 more games we’ll probably get our 2400s this season. I’m certainly not going to be a jerk to people all the sudden.

I mean, I think things are fine. People could delete RSS/BGB tomorrow and I would just go back to farming Rival-Duelist in 2s like I used to, it wouldn’t bother me. I would miss BGB though since I prefer BGs to arena and don’t care for the RBG LFG system.
