I am currently in pursuit of rank 14 and having to grind an ungodly amount of hours every day to stay ahead of this nub rank 8 who is threatening to take standing 1 from me lol. On a pve server so there aren’t any premades, we all pretty much have to play 18-20 hours a day just to barely clear 100k honor.
whats a good bracket breaker story you know?
This is fantastic news! This is really going to cut down on the time you have available to spam the forums with threads about premades ruining the game.
Form a discord and set the caps like most pvp servers do
100k honor a day on my server would only get you bracket 13
well I can still do that between queues but I gave up on it. blizzard doesn’t seem to care that alliance is once again exploiting the game. in any case I only have 3 more weeks left and then I can say I did it all solo and be done with this hot pile of garbage known as “battlegrouns”, should be changed to premade grounds
I’ll tell you one. I was 99% r11 projection and planned on finishing my grind at r12. Unfortunately the higher ups believed I should stop playing for an entire sunday and monday in order to preserve the brackets. But there was rank 7’s 8’s and 9’s (and a former botter) from the higher ups clogging up bracket 13, so I chose to push bracket 14 to finish off my grind. They claimed the botter was a “buffer” but I wasn’t going for it lol.
I really didn’t want to grind bracket 12 for another week which was like 400-500k honor at the time just for that last few percent. I am now banned from the servers premade discord and whoever plays with me gets banned too lol. The end #exiledmarshal
Premades aren’t exploiting no matter how much you want them to be.
well most alliance premades lose quickly against other premades, especially in ab where games can last a while, just so they can go back to farming pugs. this has been going on for a while too, that’s a form of exploitation and many would agree
It’s not though. You can chose to lose or win.
Alliance have instant queues and need to make very good use of their time. If it looks like it’s going to be a 30 minute back and forth game sometimes it’s just better honor per hour to concede and move on.
i mean alliance players in general are trash and give up instantly, but I dont see how that affects your rank
that should be looked at as “non-participation”. its also a huge reason why so many horde pugs face so many alliance premades. they are essentially dodging the other premade so they can queue into a pug
Non participation exists only for people actively not participating when the team want’s to participate. If the team comes to an agreement to get the game over with there is no violation.
You have to realize there are some super sweaty premades out there who will throw 500g in consumes at you in a single game and it’s just not worth grudging out a 30 minute match.
That being said there are plenty of premades that get smashed by alliance premades.
If you want to blame anything blame the honor system for making HPH the only metric that matters.
again this has nothing to do with ally premades, your servers faction needs to come together and figure out who needs what rp, as well as your pool size, and set caps. You dont have to play 20hrs a day to reset if you can civilize the pvpers on your server.

Bracket 13 requires 300k+ on mine
Ive hit 200k consistently past month and it only gets me rank 10

lol I did 770k last week with at least 80% of my games being against premades where I got little to no honor. youre on a clown server

well I push harder on the weekends cuz you can generally get a bit more honor. I cant wait to be done with this hellish grind man. must be nice being on alliance, getting all that free loot

I’m leveling this mage still, but have been considering pushing for Rank 10 (nothing like Rank 14, obviously). I don’t think I will have the time or focus really for any higher.
Can you really have “brackets” if they’re basically unenforceable? You’re so against premades, but they’re basically the only way to ensure healthier grinds.
If you’re anti-premades then you’re pro-20hour days. It feels very very silly to complain about long hours and also be complaining about the thing that solves the long hours.
