For me, it depends mostly on their race and their animations. I love the animation of Draenei using guns, but I also really like the animation of Darkspear Trolls firing bows. And a goblin using a gun just feels right. But I almost never use a crossbow. Just not as satisfying as the sound of a gun.

I prefer Bow generally ⊠unless itâs a Dwarf, then Gun.

The gun sound effects are just so bad
And Blizzard just canât make guns look decent
Bows are usually prettier.
The coolest non-raygun gun is the one from original Karazhanâs Big Bad Wolf.
Still never dropped for me, but itâs the best gun IMO

Been my weapon mog of choice going back to this toons days as a goblin (Cata-completing War Campaign BfA)
The proper answer is of course, polearms.
However, guns make too much noise and annoy me for that reason alone. Aesthetically theyâre fine.

Rapid Fire still uses the old gun sound.

I like bows.
I transmog over guns and crossbows with a bow.
Old gun sounds were better. The new ones sound like someone dropping a wet potato on a concrete floor.

Guns are weird because while youâre shooting a gun, your ability icon is still an arrow. So Iâm shooting arcane shot, and itâs an arrow icon. Just really kills the immersion for me.

Cars kill just as many âŠand a vast majority of gun deaths are suicides. Suicide happens in Japan and a list of other countries with high suicide at a higher rate WITHOUT guns.

Guns are so loud and obnoxious
My hunter uses bows. If I want to shoot guns, Iâll play a different game.
I donât like the aesthetic of a gun at all, even on a Dwarf Hunter. But then I also just prefer more typically âfantasyâ aesthetics, so Iâm not a huge fan of the random bits of non-magic tech floating around in this universe in general. Doesnât help that guns here range from âcrude blunderbussâ to âexaggerated intricate final fantasy sniper rifleâ.

I turned off guns when they changed the sound. I like big boom noises for my guns, not whatever that little pphhht sounds is.
All my hunters use longbows except my mechagnome, who uses his laser rifle.
I love the little pew pew sound.
Always bows.
