I am only using it to pull/tag mobs, should I be upgrading my ammo? Is it worth it?
On a PvP server, yes. Otherwise, ehh, you can get away with it. Use bloodrage after the arrow connects and you’ll have plenty of threat. Eventually it can be a good idea for more initial threat on your initial target, but not at lower levels imo
On a PvP server, the number of times you might chunk someone’s health while sitting in a frost nova shouldn’t go underrated.

It’s mainly a pulling tool/stat stick yeah, wouldn’t hurt to upgrade ammo from time to time, but not nearly as much as a hunter would.
Eventually it could be useful upgrading to get a bit more initial threat if using to pull. But won’t play a significant role outside of that.
I still remember getting kills with throwning weapons on my warrior back in the day, and boy did it feel good

Hearing the BOOM of a gun and seeing the big pop-up of crit numbers over a gnome mage jumping into the air for the death animation was very, very satisfying.

Do guns go BOOM again? Man I miss that. I hate that weak pip noise the retail guns make. Such a pointless sound nerf
It’s worth it for PVP. My friends used to complain about my “ranged execute” all the time when I’d duel them.
Also, spell pushback was quite big back in Vanilla. While you’re sitting in that nova you’ll want to hit that mage as much as you can so their spells take longer to cast.
