So i was using the “Master Hunters Bow” and found the “Needle Threader” Just now. The attackspeed, BASE DAMAGE, DPS is all stronger on the “Needle Threader” But when I use it, on the character sheet I do less damage, and when I attack the same monster, my hit markers are doing less damage too. No one has been able to explain the reason for this… Why is this the case? Are all bows inaccurate on damage?
Weapon speed is the 1st thing that comes up without looking at the 2 weapons. I’m guessing the master hunters bow is slower which results to the weapon doing more damage per hit and that info is also displayed as such on the paperdoll.
But if you mouse over your weapon damage you should see that the needler does more DPS- in other words individual hits may hit for less but you will hit more times in the same time frame when compared to the other weapon which results in higher overall damage.

its 2.4 attack speed on the hunter bow and 2.00 on the needle threader, also the min and max damage on the needle threader is higher than the hunters bow, so im confused as to why its individual its are lower… its stronger and faster so it should be dealing more per hit not less? $hit makes no sense.
Its lower per individual hit for the reason I stated above-basically it is a faster weapon that will attack more often. Without going into too much detail white damage is a combination of your weapon’s min/max range*weapon speed (amongst other variables). I believe the exact formula is this:
Minimum Range = (((Minimum damage + Scope damage bonus) / Weapon Speed) + (Ranged Attack Power / 14) + Ammo DPS bonus) * Weapon Speed
Maximum Range = (((Maximum damage + Scope damage bonus) / Weapon Speed) + (Ranged Attack Power / 14) + Ammo DPS bonus) * Weapon Speed
This calculates the individual white damage per hit-not its DPS which is a different story.
So in simpler terms a weapon with a 2.00 speed multiplier may do less damage per hit but it will do MORE hits within the same time period when compared to a 2.4 speed weapon.

If the needler white dmg is higher than the other bow and its attack speed is fasterb it should be doing substantially more dmg.
Thats what I thought too but it is not lol. its doing less actually.
