I’m doing my mandatory “grind delves to unlock tier 8” and I went into the grudge pit which is bountiful today, didn’t use a coffer key to open a bountiful chest, and now it’s just not bountiful and the next time I did it the chest wasn’t there because again, it’s just not bountiful now.
Was it like this last expansion? I can’t really remember because this is just one of those kinda mandatory grinds they put in the game that I don’t think is necessary or respects your time at all but you just kinda do it and get it over with and it’s not worth complaining about but like… really? I didn’t open the bountiful chest so why is it not bountiful? I feel like this is a new change.
Also as I wrote this Valeera is spamming voice lines because I’m afk and it’s kinda funny but also weird.
I don’t remember honestly. I thought they were weekly last time? Like you had a handful bountiful every week and that was it.
Now four spawn every daily reset as bountiful, so that seems good.
The rewards aren’t super clear, the player has no idea when they should actually be using a key either. And then there’s a gilded chest thing that spawns.. but only after you’ve unlocked it in the delve journey?
They could do a better job explaining or showing what to do, seems like this activity shouldn’t really need a wowhead guide or whatever to understand.
This is correct. Once you complete the bountiful delve, it goes back to a normal delve. Probably meant to prevent abuse of easier delves that are in “bountiful” state for easy loot.
At least, they reset daily.

This was the way delves worked in TWW as well. Always try and avoid the bountiful delves if you’re grinding for something and you don’t intend on using the key.

yeah doing it on a bountiful day wasn’t the best idea. kinda sucks today specifically because the 2 shortest delves (the one in SMC and grudge pit) are both bountiful lol
Like others have said, if it’s bountiful and you run it, the chest is there at the end. It only pops up once, so if you don’t open it, you basically turn off bountiful for that delve, because you ran the bountiful delve already, you just chose to ignore the chest at the end. Moral of the story is don’t grind tiers using bountiful delves, and it only costs you a day anyway because they reset daily now.
Feels pretty bad when you want to jump up the tiers and the shortest one is a bountiful lol. Had to bite the bullet Tuesday.
I guess it was always like this but really, I just don’t see why I have to do all these low tier delves when I can go straight into tier 8 with world quest gear right after I hit level cap.
And the leveling this expansion has felt awful. So when I see people saying we want to respect players time, why does it feel so tedious to just hit level cap and then I have to do all these irrelevant things just to unlock tier 8 delves or nightmare prey. I don’t see why we can’t just chose right away do you want to do the hard stuff instead of hey you have to do all these easy time consuming irrelevant things to unlock the stuff you actually need to do this week to upgrade your gear.
