Okay so this is super off topic. It’s so off topic that the OT sub forum doesn’t even have a spot for this subject. I felt it was worth posting about though.
I’m not a fan of current Philips shavers. I have a very high end one. They constantly discontinue major parts like replacement heads (often without offering a compatible alternative) and change product names or the series it belongs to. Even the performance at the highest end has arguably decreased in recent years. I find Braun and Panasonic to be much safer investments as they don’t discontinue recent projects and treat them as if they never existed.
Rant aside, this OneBlade is fantastic! I get the quickest and by far most comfortable “shave” of my life.
There are two major caveats though. One is that’s it’s technically a trimmer, not a shaver. It doesn’t cut hair below the skin like the typical foil or rotary shaver designs. It’s design allows it to cut much closer than a typical trimmer though. While you can feel the stubble, it’s close enough that you can’t actually see it for all intensive purposes. The best part is that there is absolutely zero cuts or irritation outside of extremely rare freak accident knicks.
It’s lightening fast, smooth, and amazingly precise too. That leads me to the other downside though. While it offers results in between a shaver and a trimmer, the cleanup most definitely resembles the latter. Hairs will fly. With that said. Even after cleanup, my shaving routine is still insanely faster than it’s ever been before…by far.

Did norelco inform you that it will be limited and removed one day or is it just assumed it will be by default.

Lol nah but instead of buying on day one (I REALLY wanted to!), I waited a couple of years until I read tons of reviews and fount it on a half price sale at CVS
Shavers? Meh, don’t need them, just let it grow. So much nicer not having to worry about all that annoying stuff every morning. I have a near 50 year old set of Wahl clippers i use when stuff starts getting to long every 3 or 4 months.
Well I love all big 4 shaving brands. Philips just has me super upset with them discontinuing the heads for my very current 7700 shaver that cost $179 a year ago

I love Braun/Gillette, Schick, Panasonic, and Philips Norelco all the same lol. Each offers great products for an activity I hate having to do but all come with a huge downside.

+1 for the Panasonics. Quit using the patented lift & pull system when they stopped selling the correct heads.
Now look at me! completely gone mountain man!

That’s good to know. With a close trimmer you get less ingrown hairs. I’ll let my son know. Ty for that.

No reason to be sarcastic. The reason I point this out is simply because the end result is much more similar to that of a razor.
I’m not being sarcastic. I meant that.

It is time you try laser hair removal to get rid of your beard once and for all!

I am disappoint.
I assumed this was going to somehow be an analogy about the Longboi going away, with a shaver you bought somehow.
