Bottom of the charts again

Rip Frost Mages. 2nd last on dmg charts. And oh look, demon hunter on top again.

Resto druids still extremely over-represented in arenas as well.

Blizzard: this is fine and totally balanced.

Both Arcane & Frost are struggling because of the sheer amount of mobility required in the EP.

For example, glacial strike is by far the best build for frost. The lengthy cast time is greatly hindered by all the movement required.

You have two specs above our best spec, and one spec above our other two…

Honestly some times I wish blizzard stopped trying to make all 3 dps specs viable and just left at as here is your 2 flavours of PvE dps and frost is for killing other people and open world jazz

So what? Mages are extremely powerful adapt or die.

At this point, just give Spellcasters a passive that allows them to cast while moving, but reduces the effectiveness of any spell used while moving by a %. Even if its as drastic as 50%, that’s still 50% more DPS than they would otherwise not be delivering.

I miss MoP classes.

Well logs say one thing, and I don’t think you’ll win any argument saying that cheat death, feint, and clock of shadows aren’t extremely powerful…

What you’re confused about is that you can’t adapt when your spec/class cannot numerically achieve the same as another…

But then again it doesn’t matter when you’re 3/8 LFR…

It’s the same every tier. Someone has to be top and someone has to be bottom. Mage is always a good dps option.

You won’t ever be able to explain this sort of thing to the “get good” crowd. Math is math and if you sim your character, or average out hundreds of kills of data and your spec is x% lower than the rest, there isn’t much you can do.

don’t put too much stock in mythic stats this early on, at minimum you want a weeks worth of data before making these determinations

This is important to know, specially when you lead pugs.

Now I know which dps to invite and give priority.

We all love getting carried by certain OP classes

I think the issue as to why blizz has kept frost lower is because of Mythic +, the mass aoe slowing stuff and the damage they do for aoe is on part at the top, so I think they are afraid to bump the dps up for it becoming the go to thing in all of this mythic + stuff.

You just have to get really good at spamming ice lance.

meh rogues are OP right now too more then anything really
they will prob get nerfed
frost mages are fine imo, i had one in my group almost even keep up to my DH last night :open_mouth:

I do a lot of damage on my frost mage (usually #1 or #2 in the raid, almost always #1 in mythic +.) I do much more damage as frost than I do as fire (both have ideal traits and essences.)

I sim higher as frost and I do more damage as frost. In the raid, it’s just a matter of learning the fights so that your long casts are impacted the least.

Frost is parsing so low atm because people have a lot of downtime while learning the fights. Once you get the flow of the fights down you are mobile enough with shimmer and procs to not harm your dps too much on most fights.

That is true, frost is pretty reliant upon knowing the fights well so you know when to bank your lances or not.

I remember I pre-changed to Arcane to test out the 6% and ended up getting kicked out of everything until I changed back to frost.

It’s a good change of pace from BoD, which was heavily skewed toward range outside of opulence( which wasn’t that bad) and stormwall.
