Botting != Cheating

If multiboxing is allowed then botting should be too.

Both forms of playing the game is utilizing 3rd party software which isn’t supported by blizzard. Both forms of playing has in game characters not being utilized directly from a player.

As long as the botter isn’t duping items, or teleporting or increasing their stats, as long as they are strictly using input only with a form of img recognition to identify different events on the field, then i should be allowed to bot.

Forms of botting that has been banned:
Fish bots
Herb Bots
Ore Bots
Skinning Bots

If i payed for the botts subscription, so did the multiboxer

its legit. If multiboxing is allowed then botting should be too. i personally think they should both be banned. but hey, if you let one, there is no reason not to let the other

The difference is, botters are AUTOMATED.

Multiboxers merely REPLICATE a keystroke.

You’re equating two unequal things.

No they don’t. You don’t need 3rd party software to box.

Boxed characters are treated the same when one tabs between screens.

nah b. just building a conversation. I just think its hypocrite to say yes to one form of botting and no to others.

There’s only one “form” of botting.

The kind where another program plays the game for you while you’re off eating a sandwich.

Multiboxing requires you to be at the keyboard.

Sorry, those two things are NOT the same.

you are using a 3rd party tool to play 5 characters. i can’t i use a 3rd party tool to play 5 characters? the only difference is people have accepted multiboxing and they dont like botting because its less human… but when you get down the core principle of it, its the same. so ban them both or allow them both.

They need to ban all 3rd party software for the game, DBM / Node locators / grid coordinates / healbot…every last bit of it. They need to make nodes 1 per account per day no exceptions. I wonder if that would increase these threads from the botters like you. :laughing:

no… multiboxing requires ONE person to be at a keyboard for ONE character. then it plays 4 other characters with the same input… spend the time farming 5 characters instead of throwing them all on one input.

A keyboard is considered a third-party tool? I guess I’ve been cheating ever since I started playing.
