Bots will always exist - they really need to ban gold buyers more frequently and for much longer

The fact that they don’t do this leads me to believe that a significant amount of classic playerbase participates in gold buying. In fact in our very full guild, which I have been in from classic all the way through wrath now, I only know of 2 people to receive a punishment.

One guy got a 2 week ban on SoM launch for his first gold buying offense. Another raider we lost just a couple of weeks ago due to a permaban which he claims was from gold buying but unsure if this was multiple offense or he was doing something worse with RMT…

One guy even had a burner account that a bunch of the raiders shared and to my knowledge it hasn’t even been banned. They would place gold orders to get mailed to this account and then trade it over later.

In TBC and Classic especially large amount of the guild bought gold cause they were lazy dad raiders, and it seem to be a common theme across guilds in the community.

Should be a minimum 1 month ban first offense and 6 month ban second offense. No idea why they don’t do this.

Blizz gives short bans cause they want your subs. Shocker.

What about for a dad with 8 kids working 7 jobs like yourself? You just don’t have the time to farm gold

Bans for buying gold should start at permanent Battlenet deletion.

if you ban them all you are doing is make them create a new account and they buy some more gold and they will be back in the system in less then a few days, banning people make them also care WAY less for rules since they have no attachment to their new account how do you suggest we go about thoses problems ?

Should be permanent. On first offense

IP ban.

Ip bans don’t do anything in 2023

Hardware ban would be more effective although not perfect
