i’m sitting here at the entrance to purple where level 60 mages come out of the instance and do the exact same little oval to get back into maraudon but are locked and they keep circling over and over in the exact same way. once there was 3 of them doing it at the same time. so clearly bots. how come blizzard can’t just sit there and watch them botting and actually do something about the bot issue. this is over on dreamscythe.
The bot is paying the same monthly sub as you are.
To Blizzard, you’re functionally the same.

What issues are bots running in circles causing?
Other players are likely paying a lot more than the monthly sub fee to whoever is botting, and that’s pretty unlikely to stop if a couple obvious ones get banned.
But maybe sitting outside of mara, monitoring players is the best use of Blizzard employee paid time.

This may surprise you, but the majority of players don’t care about bots, a good amount of them probably like bots because it means cheaper consumes for everyone. Its why sub numbers are so high despite the constant complaining on the forums

debatably, the bot deosn’t complain and so it’s a little better than you.
Until people unsub specifically over the bot issue, Blizz has zero incentive to actually seriously address what’s going on.
And even if players do, Blizz has to hire and train GMs to police the game. So it’s not even worth it until a lot unsub over it. And that’s not going to happen. People willing to put up with it until now aren’t leaving.
This is another valid point. I actually don’t really care about botting at this point because the bots do stuff most people have zero desire to do.

The bots are necessary when Blizzard’s preferred customers are third party RMT buyers. Everyone else will always quit when they realize the “punishment” for RMT is a pathetic 7 day suspension. The items purchased with RMT gold aren’t even deleted.
Anyone in a raid guild has heard a dozen people already confirm this in Discord. Their suspensions lifted last week. They were laughing amongst themselves about all the items which did not get deleted.
This game is really no different than any free P2W MMO. We might as well have the WoW token so we all can benefit. I won’t be paying $15/month for this.
