Let us copy our characters, our soulbound gear, and fun items like the ad tabard.
Don’t let us bring our gold, consumes, and mats into TBC. It’s all tainted by bots and gold buyers. I’d bet at least half the raw gold in circulation right now is from bots.
In TBC, actually do weekly ban waves of bots ffs. Invest some money into protecting the quality of your products.

Some of us who have thousands of gold legitimately would have a problem with this… We have been preparing for flight form and flying… This really wouldn’t be fair.

Even the gold you farmed via selling things on the auction house is tainted by inflation from the raw gold introduced by botting. Yes, it’s unfair- but it’s also necessary.
It’s Blizzards fault for turning a blind eye to bots for over a year with the exception of 1 day.

How is classic’s economy destroyed? I can afford pretty much all my consumes and there are many farms anyone can do for gold. What’s the issue?

So you get to take from me because it makes you feel better? No thanks.

If they haven’t been aggressive with botters in classic, what makes you think they’ll do it in TBC?
You’re basically giving them an out. They’ll take legitimate players gold, pretend like they did something call it a victory and we’ll have the same problem

How is Classic’s economy destroyed?
Correction; greedy players buying gold ruined economy

If blizz does a takedown on people’s legitimately earned assets in game it won’t be them we blame. It’ll be jackwagons like you that decided to throw temper tantrums like toddlers.

would do literally nothing by doing a gold reset. botters would be in full operation within a couple weeks.

I didn’t bot. I spent hours farming herbs and selling them. I also look for any underpriced herbs and resell them as well. I earned my gold legit. I’ll be pretty upset if blizzard takes all that hard work away. Sounds to me like you either don’t want to put in the time and effort or don’t have the same amount of time to play as the rest of us. That is not my fault and I shouldn’t be punished for it.
Regardless, A gold reset would only be temporary as people like me who played pservers know all the best and fastest ways to make gold in TBC. Not only that botters would be right back at it pretty quickly especially if all you do is wipe gold. You’re just creating a massive demand for the gold buying market. The fact you wiped our gold would just drive more people to buy gold. Your idea has more cons than it does pros.
Also, just because the economy on YOUR server sucks does not mean that is the case on all servers.

Yep. YOU, as the collective playerbase, ruined Classic with things like buying from the clearly not banned bots.
Tseric was right…
I’m hoping for a few fresh servers but my take on it is if we progress to TBC either by character copies to TBC servers or Classic servers progressing to TBC, there shouldn’t be a cap on anything we bring forward.
Delete all of the gold honest players earned through non-exploitive means so they have to reinvest hundreds of hours earning it back while gold buyers instantly just purchase what they need. Wonderful idea!
Right! Nothing says staying subbed like punishing me for something I didn’t do.
Blizzard does this exact thing all the time.
You mean like the removal of master loot, gear swapping in M+, and other “QOL” changes? Nooooo they don’t. lol
Simple: let Classic hoarders mingle on TBC transfer servers while providing options for TBC fresh servers.
However, technically, there was no guarantee that TBC would follow and if you complain about not being able to transfer things to TBC…well…I guess you thought you would like Classic as a stand alone museum, or maybe you didn’t. Zero guarantees ( which is why Im not wasting my time stacking mats or gold)
In order to counter the bot problem they need active game moderation and not this cheap algorithm. Need humans doing their job
Problem is we try to rely on automation so we create ways for cheap labor, then people go jobless replaced by software
The bot problem obviously shows that the software isn’t working, bring back 2004 moderation and open up jobs during this pandemic

Regardless of bots, rmt, or anything else I still think fresh would be the best option. It’s not going to happen though so just start preparing if you haven’t already
