Blizzard is guilty of botting, too.
Automated punishments. Automated ticket responses. Automated transfers. Automated item restoration.

Not quite.
Most bots are farming raw gold, which causes inflation. In other words, prices go up, not down.

Bots are good for the illicit Gold Seller economy but are absolutely terrible for the in-game economy. Bot farms reduce the value of Gold because they flood the economy with so much of it.
