Hey yo,
Haste potions 16g, all materials are like 2-3x price. Flying around trying to gather anything = 4h of competing with swarm of bots to get ready for 1.5h raid.
Reporting doesn’t do anything, every week there’s even more of them.
Is this an ultimate classic experience? Is this how Classic+ going to play too?
Does it make sense that it’s bots that cause prices to be high, or that it’s such large player population and so few resources do to raid logging and dynamic layering?
either way you slice it , something should be done about the availability of the herbs and other resources now and not just wait for the marks to lower the flask prices and throw a wrench into things.
While your point is noted, and appreciated, and I agree that it’s worthwhile to monitor availability of resources versus population levels and adjust accordingly, blanket blaming something as a cause without verifiable justification is worthy of condemnation.
What I’m saying basically is that sure the devs should pay attention to whether the population and resource availability makes sense and adjust accordingly, someone claiming that botting is the cause of it should be scrutinized and not just accepted and proliferated, as that’s witch hunt mentality.
im saying it doesnt matter either way if its a bot or a real player taking all the herbs.
the end result is a large portion of players cant farm for squat and get really frustrated by it.
im willing to bet there are more bots than some would give credit for but also that there might be less than the millions that people believe exist as well.
another problem is the bots selling the herbs which turns into gold then is recycled into the economy through gold selling then reinvested into crafting or whatever and so on and so on.
it is a problem but theres not much you can do without going full draconian and sinking the entire ship of the product for everyone.
It does if you’re going to support someone claiming that the issue is botting rather than population size versus availability of resources, and that’s meaningful.
To be frank, I’m skeptical of this. If there were no bots, even with fewer resources available than what is required for a raiding population of 20K + per faction on a single server, I suspect mats would go ungathered, and prices would be even higher than they are currently.
i diddnt fully agree with him on the bot issue or not.
i sad something needs to be done about the availability of resources.
true but also bots and even regular players often keep stock of inv to keep prices at a level they deem fit and the market fluxuates a bit over the week to then return to normal at the beginning of the raid week.
Yeah, we’re just sort of posting our own opinions, more-or-less related to the thread, but not really talking about the same thing.
My point is mostly that we can state that there aren’t enough resources available, and discuss that as the problem, but it isn’t clear that this is because of bots, and reasonably it doesn’t appear that botting is the root cause, either.
And your point is regardless of the reason, something should be done. Agreed.
pretty simple explanation to:
" Bots? Bots! "
Layer? Layer!
More Raid logging = less layers
Less layers = more layer in LFG chat and less materials, more competition for materials
More layers = more materials, less layer in LFG chat
i mean to be honest people dont really know the benefits or cons of bots if they really had to explain them themselves.
someone who looks at them with an unbiased eye instead of just assuming everything bad that ever happened in the world is because of them might be able to come up with a valuable post about it instead of spewing the same old crap over and over.
OK. Note: This observation does not support the argument that bots cause higher prices.
It’s quite reasonable (I think) to assume that if there were always at least as many layers as would be required to support roughly 40,000 concurrently online players on each faction, then more bots would not equal higher pricing, but quite probably lower pricing.
Every single person that is Taxing aka charging a arm and a leg I have had a whole conversation with… I am tell you guys, it is not the BOTS is is greedy butt “normal” people like you and me…
On my Alliance char, Locks will charge 250g for Quags Eye.. Now that I am horde these fools want to charge you 500g… All the prices are more expensive on horde as well. Want a lvl 2 weapon with fiery enchant? Get ready to pay 15g more as Horde…
That is not BOTS, that is GREEDY Human Beings. But get used to it, such is the way of MEGA SERVERS…
well seeing the bots sit afk at the Ah in UC and silvermoon, and wave at the auctioneer every 3-5 seconds because they buy anything that is below their bottom line they want to sell at…. yes the bots are 80% of the problem.
